The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the safety of individuals within the facility.Job Description: Security Guard for Homeowners Association (HOA)Position: Security GuardLocation: Homeowners Association (HOA) CommunityReports To: Security SupervisorJob Summary: The Security Guard for the HOA is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors within the community. This includes patrolling the premises, monitoring access points, enforcing HOA rules and regulations, and responding to security incidents or emergencies.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Patrol &amp; Surveillance: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the community to deter criminal activity, ensure the safety of residents, and prevent unauthorized access.</li><li>Access Control: Monitor and control entry to the community through gates, entrances, and other access points. Ensure only authorized residents, visitors, and service personnel enter the property.</li><li>Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, including disturbances, suspicious activities, or emergencies. Provide support by contacting the appropriate authorities or emergency services as needed.</li><li>Reporting: Complete and submit detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other relevant documentation using Officer Reports or other designated systems.</li><li>Community Relations: Engage with residents in a professional and respectful manner. Provide assistance when needed and address concerns related to safety and security.</li><li>Enforcement of HOA Rules: Enforce the HOA's rules and regulations regarding parking, noise, trespassing, and other community guidelines. Issue warnings or report violations to the HOA management as needed.</li><li>Emergency Protocols: Maintain awareness of emergency evacuation routes, fire safety protocols, and first aid procedures. Assist in emergency evacuations or responses when necessary.</li><li>Vehicle &amp; Equipment Checks: Ensure that all security equipment, including patrol vehicles, radios, and surveillance systems, are functioning properly. Report any maintenance issues promptly.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: High school diploma or GED.</li><li>Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>Licenses/Certifications: Valid Guard Card issued by the state, CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).</li><li>Skills:</li><li>Strong observational and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.</li><li>Familiarity with security reporting software (e.g., Officer Reports).</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.</li><li>Able to respond quickly and physically to emergencies when necessary.</li></ul>Work Hours: SwingMonday-Tuesday : 4:30 PM to 8:30 PMJob Types: Part-timeLicense/Certification:<ul><li>Driver's License (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Castro Valley, CA 94552 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Castro Valley, CA 94552: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In personPay: $23.00 per hourWork Location: In person
