About the Role!
We&rsquo;re looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join our team on a high-impact engagement with one of our partners, a global leader in wealth-management technology. Together we&rsquo;re building next-generation tools that automate the ingestion, analysis, and visualization of alternative-investment data - leveraging AI and Machine Learning to surface insights, streamline workflows, and transform how investors manage their portfolios.
You&rsquo;ll work side-by-side with data scientists, product managers, and fellow engineers to design and deliver cloud-native services that power these capabilities. If you&rsquo;ve crafted scalable systems, love working on tough data problems, and enjoy rapid iteration with a cross-functional team, we&rsquo;d love to meet you. 
Who You Are:<ul><li>
Python first. You&rsquo;ve built and maintained production-grade Python microservices.</li><li>
Cloud fluent. Comfortable with AWS, Lambda-based architectures, and Terraform.</li><li>
Data-driven. Excited to process, aggregate, and compute on large datasets efficiently.</li><li>
Ownership mentality. You gravitate toward the hardest problems and see them through.</li><li>
Collaborative. Able to engage with stakeholders at every level on technical topics.</li></ul> 

What You'll Do: 
 
System Design &amp; Development<ul><li>
Design, build, and iterate on web-based applications for alternatives-data professionals.</li><li>
Implement well-architected, testable, and maintainable Python services.</li></ul>
ML Integration<ul><li>
Partner with machine-learning engineers to bring models into the backend stack.</li><li>
Expose model outputs through clean APIs that power rich client experiences.</li></ul>
Data Processing &amp; Automation<ul><li>
Automate document-based workflows that ingest and normalize unstructured finance data.</li><li>
Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and observability.</li></ul>
Collaboration &amp; Documentation<ul><li>
Work with product managers and client teams to refine requirements and gather feedback.</li><li>
Document system designs, project plans, and code&mdash;keeping everything clear and readable.</li><li>
Champion engineering best practices and help raise the technical bar across the team.</li></ul> 

Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
5+ years of professional software-engineering experience, primarily in Python.</li><li>
Proven track record designing microservice architectures in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).</li><li>
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).</li><li>
Familiarity with ML workflows and bringing models to production (bonus for Pandas, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).</li><li>
Comfort with SQL/NoSQL databases, messaging systems, and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).</li><li>
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.</li></ul>

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.</li><li>
Proactive and adaptable to a fast-paced development environment.</li></ul>
