 How you&rsquo;ll demonstrate

 Reporting to the VP of FP&amp;A, the FP&amp;A Senior Analyst will serve as a key strategic partner driving financial insights and operational excellence. Through ownership of core budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes, the ideal candidate will deliver timely, accurate, and actionable data to enable informed decision-making. The role will partner closely with Finance leadership, FP&amp;A peers, and cross-functional teams including Operations, Sales, and Product. Strong cross-organizational collaboration will be essential. This position offers an opportunity to shape financial strategy in the rapidly evolving AI-driven industrial market where Cognite leads globally.
 
 
 The FP&amp;A organization is responsible for driving strategic business decisions and optimizing capital allocation to maximize shareholder value. This role will support the following critical responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>

 Budgeting &amp; Planning Support: Own and execute annual operating plan and quarterly forecast cycles; collect, validate, and synthesize financial and operational data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
 </li>
 <li>
 Financial Modeling &amp; Forecasting: Develop and maintain dynamic, driver-based financial models to support short-term forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range planning; perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to guide decision-making.
 </li>
 <li>
 Variance &amp; Trend Analysis: Deliver insightful variance analysis and trend reporting; identify key drivers and provide actionable recommendations to Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reporting &amp; KPI Management: Create and present executive-level dashboards and reports; monitor KPIs and business performance metrics to support strategic objectives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Value Delivery teams to provide financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and improve operational efficiency.
 </li>
 <li>
 Process Improvement &amp; Automation: Champion process enhancements and leverage BI tools to streamline FP&amp;A workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and enable scalability.

 The Impact you bring to Cognite
 
 
 
 Education &amp; Experience
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 3&ndash;5 years of progressive FP&amp;A or corporate finance experience within technology environments. Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV) and unit economics preferred.

 Advanced financial modeling and scenario planning expertise; strong Excel proficiency.

 As the Sales Account Executive, you will engage with prospects to win business from large companies in the Oil and Gas, Refining and Chemicals verticals. . You will help customers achieve improved business results through their adoption of Cognite Data Fusion to accelerate their digital transformations.

 Achieve bookings targets while developing satisfied and reference-able customers

 Develop and execute a territory strategy to drive bookings growth and win new customers

 Through active prospecting and your personal network of contacts, generate new pipeline and provide &ldquo;commercial insights&rdquo; to prospective clients on how Cognite&rsquo;s solutions will address the most important areas of their value chain

 Manage complex sales cycles and lead your extended territory team (pre-sales and other key functions) to delight your prospects and customers

 Required Qualifications And Preferred Experiences

 5+ years successful Software Sales Experience into major process manufacturing companies is required (Oil and Gas, Refining and Chemicals)
 </li>
 <li>
 5+ years of direct sales experience carrying and exceeding a quota and selling enterprise software/ software-as-a-service (Business Intelligence/ Data Warehouse/ Big Data/ Advanced Analytics/ Machine Learning/Automation/Operational Technology) to C-level executives
 </li>
 <li>
 Previous training in Command of the Message, MEDDPICC and Salesforce is a plus, but not a requirement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Midwest (Chicago), Southeast (Atlanta / Houston) and Northeast (Boston / New York / Philadelphia) locations preferred, other locations may be considered.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum Bachelor&rsquo;s degree. A relevant Master&rsquo;s degree is preferred.
