Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Type: Part-TimeJob Summary: As a Registered Nurse (RN) with Cognitive Diagnostic Associates, this role is part time and focused exclusively on Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) for special education students. This is not a traditional nursing position and does not involve clinical care, treatment, or school based nursing duties.The RN&rsquo;s role is limited to records review, analysis, and report writing related to special education eligibility. Responsibilities include reviewing hearing, vision, and medical records; analyzing medical and developmental data as it relates to special education disabilities; and preparing clear, defensible written summaries for inclusion in multidisciplinary IEE reports.This position supports psychoeducational and related service evaluations by providing medical context relevant to IDEA and California Education Code eligibility categories. Work is primarily analytical and document based, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and written communication.This role is ideal for an RN seeking flexible, part time work in an educational and evaluative setting rather than a clinical or school nursing role.Responsibilities:Testing and Assessment: <ul><li>Administer standardized tests and assessments to evaluate individuals' physical and mental health status.</li><li>Collect data on individuals' medical history, symptoms, and relevant health indicators.</li><li>Conduct screenings and assessments to identify health-related concerns and potential barriers to learning.</li></ul>Report Writing and Documentation: <ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of testing sessions, progress notes, treatment plan recommendations, and discharge summaries.</li></ul>&middot; Compile and analyze assessment data to generate detailed reports outlining individuals' health status and relevant findings.<ul><li>Write clear, concise, and accurate reports that summarize assessment results, identify areas of concern, and recommend appropriate interventions.</li><li>Ensure that reports adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines for documentation and reporting.</li></ul>Collaboration and Communication: <ul><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, educators, and administrators, to share assessment findings and develop intervention plans.</li><li>Communicate assessment results and recommendations effectively to individuals, families, and other stakeholders.</li><li>Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborative discussions to support individuals' educational and healthcare needs.</li></ul>Professional Development: <ul><li>Stay updated on current nursing practices, assessment tools, and relevant research in the field.</li><li>Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.</li><li>Engage in ongoing self-reflection and seek opportunities for continuous learning and growth.</li></ul>Additional Job Functions as Related:<ul><li>Undertake additional job functions as related to occupational therapy, as required by the position.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.</li><li>State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).</li><li>CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.</li><li>Experience in conducting assessments and writing reports preferred.</li><li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.</li><li>Attention to detail and proficiency in report writing.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.</li></ul>Please submit your resume, cover letter, and any relevant certifications or licenses for consideration to admin@cdacompany.comJob Type: Part-timePay: $67,200.00 - $101,435.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Newport Beach, CA 92660
