Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures. This role is essential in supporting attorneys with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for managing case files, conducting research, and assisting with legal drafting.Duties<ul><li>Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars and scheduling appointments</li><li>Conduct thorough research using tools such as LexisNexis to gather relevant case information</li><li>Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including pleadings and contracts</li><li>Maintain organized case files through effective filing and data entry practices</li><li>Perform proofreading of documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards</li><li>Manage projects by coordinating tasks and deadlines to ensure timely completion</li><li>Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses as needed for case preparation</li><li>Utilize iManage for document management and collaboration within the team</li><li>Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, courts, and other stakeholders</li><li>Support clerical functions such as mail distribution, document copying, and office organization</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven administrative experience in a legal environment is preferred</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously</li><li>Excellent writing skills for drafting correspondence and legal documents</li><li>Proficiency in data entry with a keen eye for detail</li><li>Familiarity with project management principles to effectively oversee tasks from inception to completion</li><li>Experience in conducting research and utilizing legal databases like LexisNexis</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication within the team and with clients</li></ul>If you are passionate about the legal field and possess the necessary skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Legal Assistant.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, TemporaryPay: $23.77 - $28.63 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
