Job Summary
The Procurement Category Specialist is responsible for creating and executing procurement strategies for a defined group of materials in alignment with Cohere Beauty&rsquo;s production and business objectives. This role works closely with external suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure a timely, cost-effective, and dependable supply of materials that meet both production schedules and customer expectations. The Procurement Category Specialist plays a critical role in negotiating cost savings, ensuring supply continuity, and driving continuous improvement within their assigned categories. 
This is what you will do: 
<ul><li>
Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned product categories to support company production and financial goals.</li><li>
Develop strong partnerships with suppliers and customers that supply materials for production to help ensure open communication and continuity of supply.</li><li>
Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in accordance with established policies and procedures</li><li>
Deliver schedule attainment of 95% by proactively identifying supply chain issues, problem suppliers/materials, and communicating resolution effectively with cross-functional team members to align with S&amp;OP schedule lock.</li><li>
Achieve ongoing cost savings through supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives to meet annual savings goals for assigned categories.</li><li>
Responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels that meet production requirements and company inventory reduction goals.</li><li>
Track delivery of purchase orders and work with suppliers to resolve any issues</li><li>
Ensure satisfactory quality compliance of suppliers regarding contractually specified performance metrics and mitigate any issues with performance that may arise.</li><li>
Assist in sourcing items by preparing and conducting competitive RFQ&rsquo;s. Request regulatory documentation and samples as needed.</li><li>
Investigate, resolve, and approve discrepant invoices and receiving issues.</li><li>
Consistently monitor the market for pricing trends, future supply constraints, and gain overall category knowledge to keep leadership and peers informed on market conditions.</li><li>
Actively participate in corporate-level, functional, and team projects, delivering results and driving continuous improvement.</li><li>
Maintain accurate procurement master data and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.</li><li>
Some travel is required for supplier visits and trade shows.</li><li>
This is a full-time, 100% on-site position.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
This is what you will need: 
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or comparable experience</li><li>
Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing, sourcing, category management, or planning experience required.</li><li>
Strong negotiation and critical thinking skills.</li><li>
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and deliver results under pressure; meet assigned deadlines.</li><li>
Strong analytical skills, decision-making mindset, detail-oriented, organized.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate/collaborate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization and externally.</li><li>
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ERP systems.</li><li>
Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.</li><li>
Ability to work on-site.</li><li>
Ability to maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.</li><li>
Knowledge and understanding of the Purchasing Cycle (preferred).</li><li>
Strong organization and time management skills (preferred).</li><li>
Adaptability &ndash; open to and actively solicit new ideas and opinions (preferred).</li><li>
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (preferred).</li></ul><div></div>
