The ideal candidate will possess exceptional litigation, writing, and client-management skills and be capable of handling all phases of contested divorce actions from pleadings through trial. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with one of New York&rsquo;s most respected matrimonial trial attorneys in a collaborative, high-performance environment. Compensation: $150,000&ndash;$225,000 plus performance-based bonuses, comprehensive benefits, and advancement opportunities.Key Responsibilities of the Matrimonial Attorney:Responsibilities<ul><li>Independently manage all aspects of contested divorce and family law litigation under DRL &sect;236 and related statutes.</li><li>Draft pleadings, discovery demands, financial analyses, and motions.</li><li>Conduct depositions, evidentiary hearings, and trials.</li><li>Analyze financial statements, business valuations, and expert reports.</li><li>Negotiate and structure settlements in complex financial and custody disputes.</li><li>Communicate regularly with clients, ensuring responsiveness and discretion.</li><li>Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications of the Matrimonial Attorney: <ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school</li><li>Admission to practice law in New York required</li><li>Minimum of seven years of trial experience in family and matrimonial law</li><li>Proven record handling high-net-worth or complex financial divorce cases.</li><li>Strong courtroom presence and excellent oral advocacy skills.</li><li>Exceptional research and writing skills</li><li>Experience working with forensic accountants, valuation experts, and vocational experts.</li><li>Excellent judgment, ethics, and client-relationship skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently</li><li>Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills</li><li>Appellate experience a plus.</li></ul>Salary Range:The salary for this position will range from $150,000 to $250,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.Job Type: Full-timePay: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
