<div>Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer
 
Location: Arlington, VA 
Company: Colonial Security Services
Shift: Monday-Friday 1500-2300

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and assets. You will enforce company policies and procedures, respond to emergencies, and conduct patrols to ensure the security of our facilities. 
 
Responsibilities 
<ul><li>Conduct regular patrols of designated areas on foot, to deter unauthorized access, prevent incidents, and ensure the security of premises</li><li>Utilize surveillance cameras and other monitoring equipment to observe activity on the premises, identify potential security threats, and take appropriate action when necessary
</li><li>Enforce company security policies and procedures, including acces control measures, visitor management, and property protection protocols</li><li>Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, such as medical emergencies, fires, or disturbances, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation
</li><li>Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and customers
</li><li>Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness
</li><li>Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies as needed to report incidents, provide assistance and facilitate investigations
</li></ul> 
Qualifications
 
<ul><li>Current and valid Virginia Security Guard License
</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent
</li><li>Strong observational and problem-solving skills
</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
</li><li>Ability to perform security duties, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving objects</li></ul></div></div>
