Summary:
Drive a light vehicle, such as a truck, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up tires. May load and unload vehicles; as well as other duties assigned by the manager.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.</li>
<li>Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.</li>
<li>Report on any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.</li>
<li>Properly document goods delivered or loaded.</li>
<li>Load and unload trucks</li>
<li>Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.</li>
<li>Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.</li>
<li>Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.</li>
<li>Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
<ul><li>Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate and maneuver company vehicles such as box trucks and delivery vans, following all traffic and safety regulations.</li>
<li>Material Handling: Load, unload, secure, and move products safely using hands, arms, pallet jacks, and forklifts.</li>
<li>Warehouse Operations Knowledge: Understand basic warehouse processes including receiving, picking, staging, and inventory handling.</li>
<li>Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries and pickups.</li>

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency, a minimum of one-year commercial driver experience required.

Warehouse / Driver

<div>Colony Tire is currently seeking a full-time Automotive Mechanic to join our team! Our mechanics work for competitive, unlimited pay. Previous experience required. Mechanic must be able to diagnose and repair simple and complex automotive issues, and perform routine maintenance on passenger vehicles, as well as heavy equipment. Must hold a valid driver&rsquo;s license.
Summary:
Employee will be required to perform tire and auto-related service as well as other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities; include, but not limited to:
<ul><li>Follow established procedures to inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service</li>
<li>Document work performed accurately and according to company policy</li>
<li>Raise vehicles using hydraulic jacks and/or automotive lifts</li>
<li>Unbolt and re-bolt wheels from/to vehicles, using torque wrenches, lug wrenches and other hand and power tools. Mount and dismount tires onto wheels</li>
<li>Identify and inflate tires in accordance with manufacturer&rsquo;s specifications</li>
<li>Place wheels on balancing machines to determine counterweights required to balance wheels. Hammer required counterweights onto rims of wheels</li>
<li>Replace valve stems</li>
<li>Repair tires in accordance with industry accepted guidelines</li>
<li>Rotate tires on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer&rsquo;s recommendations</li>
<li>Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as but not limited to oil changes and lubrications</li>
<li>Pull vehicles in and out of shop safely</li>
<li>Evaluate vehicles and/or their components and systems by accepted diagnostic methods which may include any or all of the following; test driving vehicles; using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, computerized diagnostic devices, and their experience</li>
<li>Repair, reline, replace and adjust brakes</li>
<li>Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brakes, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas</li>
<li>Confer with customers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements</li>
<li>Troubleshoot, diagnose problems with, and make repairs to minor electrical systems.</li>
<li>Examine vehicles, compile estimates of repair costs, and secure customers&rsquo; approval to perform repairs</li>
<li>Repair or replace defective ball joint suspensions, wheel bearings or other suspension components</li>
<li>Complete State Inspections according to the outlined procedures</li>
<li>Repair and service air conditioning, heating, and engine-cooling systems</li>
<li>Repair, replace, or adjust defective fuel injectors, carburetor parts, gasoline filters</li>
<li>Repair, service, or replace transmission and/or parts and drive train components</li>
</ul><ul><li>Remove and replace defective mufflers and tailpipes</li>
<li>Disassemble, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies such as steering systems, and linkages.</li>
<li>Complete front-end alignments and suspension system service</li>
</ul>
