About the Role
We are seeking a board-certified Medical Oncologist to join Color&rsquo;s Virtual Cancer Clinic (VCC). This role reports directly to the Color Medical President and works closely with the executive team.
You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based cancer care via telehealth technologies and build care models that improve patient outcomes. As a key clinical leader, you will guide multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams, create clinical care protocols, and shape collaborative virtual care models with local care teams to expand access to guideline-concordant care. This role is ideal for a clinician passionate about reimagining cancer care, driving data-driven population health and expanding access to high quality, personalized care. 
 
How You&rsquo;ll Contribute:
Direct Clinical Care<ul><li>
Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered oncology care via telehealth technologies (video, phone, asynchronous messaging).</li><li>
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage cancer and cancer-related conditions in alignment with ASCO, NCCN and other guidelines and consistent with virtual care best practices.</li><li>
Order and interpret labs, imaging, diagnostics, referrals, and prescriptions as needed.</li><li>
Directly manage select anti-cancer therapies (e.g., oral hormonal or long-term adjuvant therapy) in collaboration with local treating teams.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with in-person clinical providers to coordinate care and ensure seamless handoffs for in-person treatment.</li><li>
Maintain thorough, high-quality and timely documentation.</li></ul>
Tumor Board &amp; Multidisciplinary Cancer Care<ul><li>
Evaluate patient cases (e.g. medical records, pathology, imaging, genetics, and patient-reported information), develop comprehensive, guideline-concordant recommendations and ensure delivery of timely clinical care.</li><li>
Consult with internal and external sub-specialists (e.g, surgical and radiation oncology, palliative care, primary care, rehab, GI).</li><li>
Lead multidisciplinary tumor board discussions.</li><li>
Communicate recommendations clearly to patients and local care teams.</li></ul>
Care Team Collaboration<ul><li>
Work closely with oncology nurses and advanced practice providers, care advocates, dietitians, mental health professionals, primary care and other clinical team members.</li><li>
Participate in care team reviews and contribute to coordinated care plans.</li></ul> 
Clinical Leadership &amp; Oversight<ul><li>
Oversee care delivery by employed and contracted oncologists, nurses and advanced practice providers to ensure consistent, timely and high quality patient-centered care.</li><li>
Lead development and refinement of clinical protocols, pathways, and best practices for virtual oncology care.</li><li>
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Client Experience teams to scale high-quality, patient-centered services.</li><li>
Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives, including:<ul><li>
Review and audit charts</li><li>
Assess clinical outcomes and analyze operational data</li><li>
Identify quality trends, create and implement cross-functional quality improvement efforts, and iterate in a continuous process.</li></ul></li></ul>
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
M.D. or D.O., board-certified in Medical Oncology</li><li>
Active medical license in good standing; willingness to obtain multi-state licensure.</li><li>
Minimum of 3-5+ years of independent, multidisciplinary oncology clinical practice post-fellowship, with expertise across multiple cancer types.</li><li>
Strong commitment to evidence-based, high-quality, patient-centered care.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, empathetic approach.</li><li>
Comfort with telehealth technologies: video, asynchronous care, and EHR systems.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience building or redesigning clinical programs</li><li>
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualification<ul><li>
Licensure in an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participating state.</li><li>
Experience collaborating with product, technology, or operations type teams.</li></ul>

Base salary range: $250,000 - 310,000/yr
