<div>As a Machine Operator, your role is to operate a variety of equipment, such as a paper cutter, folder machine, booklet maker, Stitcher and other bindery equipment as an expert and a high attention to detail, as a main focus of the role. The role will also be cross trained into other areas of the department so that order volume and customer demand can be taken care of. Another part of this role will be helping with and backing up local deliveries to customers.

Core Focus<ul><li>Operates equipment and machinery used for processes that flows to multiple departments and task areas.
</li><li>May do setups, adjustments and cleanups.
</li><li>At higher levels may include equipment with multiple inline processes.
</li><li>Operates equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.</li><li>Reads and interprets work orders, blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.</li><li>Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, within quality guidelines and in a timely fashion.</li><li>May have to complete formal training in area of specialty with no to minimal prior experience in the field or in a related area.</li><li>Be able to read job tickets, help process jobs and understand functions before and after the bindery department.</li><li>Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.</li><li>Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.</li></ul> 
Responsibilities
<ul><li>Operate and maintain printing equipment.</li><li>
Maintain a clean and safe work area.</li><li>
Take an active role in quality control as the bindery area is at the back end of the workflow.</li><li>
Is mechanically inclined. No prior print experience required - we are wiling to train.</li></ul>
Requirements
<ul><li>Basic mathematical skills i.e. add, subtract, multiply, divide</li><li>
Able to lift up to 50lb with assistance.</li><li>
Familiarity with Windows based software.</li><li>
Read and interpret work orders</li><li>
Good mechanical aptitude</li><li>
Great communication with other team members</li><li>
Work effectively under time constraints.</li><li>
Is a person that is responsible for their own performance and output.
</li><li>Has a good attendance track record and is very reliable.</li></ul>
Position Details
<ul><li>Full Time with benefits.</li><li>
8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.</li><li>
$20-$24 &ndash; Depending on previous experience running bindery equipment.</li></ul>
Helpful Skills<ul><li>
Able to learn and interpret information from visual cues for troubleshooting purposes.</li><li>
An understanding of process color printing and color theory.</li></ul>
