Role OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Technical Office Engineer with a background in Architecture or Civil Engineering, and extensive experience in finishing and decorative works within the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of engineering submittals, deep knowledge of materials, and a strong ability to manage the technical and operational aspects of construction projects.This role at ColourZone involves a combination of technical oversight, coordination, and financial acumen to ensure the smooth execution of projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing engineering documentation, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams, and ensuring timely submission and approval of materials and shop drawings.Job Requirements &ndash; Technical Office Engineer (Finishing &amp; Decorative Works)Education &amp; Professional Background:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.</li><li>Minimum of 4 years of experience in the UAE, specifically in finishing and decorative works.</li><li>Prior experience working in technical office roles on construction or fit-out projects.</li></ul>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of finishing materials, including decorative items, coatings, cladding, paints, gypsum, wood, metal, and high-end finishes.</li><li>Expertise in engineering submittals (materials, shop drawings, method statements, etc.).</li><li>Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.</li><li>Good understanding of local authority regulations and approval procedures in the UAE (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, etc.).</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other design/engineering software.</li><li>Familiar with MS Office and project documentation tools (e.g., Aconex, Procore &ndash; if applicable).</li></ul>Project &amp; Operational Skills:<ul><li>Ability to prepare and track material submittals, ensuring timely approvals.</li><li>Coordination with procurement, logistics, and site execution teams.</li><li>Support in BOQ preparation, material take-offs, and cost analysis.</li><li>Monitor project timelines and follow up on engineering deliverables.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation, control, and archiving of all technical documents.</li></ul>Soft Skills &amp; Other Requirements:<ul><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and coordination abilities with consultants, clients, and internal teams.</li><li>Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>UAE driving license is an advantage.</li><li>Available to join immediately or within short notice (preferred).</li></ul>Job Type: Full-time
