What you’ll do: 
The Operations Manager oversees the daily functions at the Hotel ensuring that Front Desk, Night Audit, Concierge, Housekeeping, Valet, and Retail operations run seamlessly. This role is responsible for maintaining high service standards, optimizing efficiency, managing financial performance, and fostering a positive team environment to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
 The Brass Tacks
 Operational Management
 <ul>
<li>Supervise and coordinate daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments.</li>
<li>Monitor and maintain hotel standards, including cleanliness, service quality, and compliance with hotel guidelines.</li>
<li>Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and guest experience.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.</li>
<li>Supervising procedural aspects of the hotel’s front office (Including Front Desk, Valet, PBX, and Reservations if applicable), maintaining a presence during peak traffic periods.</li>
<li>Ensuring guest and employee needs and concerns are responded to in a timely, professional and friendly manner with a focus on service recovery when applicable.</li>
<li>Performing front desk agent duties as necessary, such as registration, check out and processing room reservations for guests.</li>
<li>Ensuring proper execution of VIP requirements, including room requests, amenity placement, welcome letters, gifts, etc.</li>
<li>Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all property amenities as well as any special events.</li>
<li>Supplying guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest.</li>
<li>Following all company policies and procedures; reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.</li>
<li>Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information; protecting company assets.</li>
<li>Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.</li>
<li>Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Managers.</li>
</ul>
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
 <ul>
<li>Address guest concerns and complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of exceptional service, training staff to exceed guest expectations.</li>
<li>Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to improve ratings and reviews.</li>
<li>Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards.</li>
</ul>
Staff Management & Leadership
 <ul>
<li>Recruit, train, mentor, and manage hotel staff across various departments. With a focus on the Housekeeping department.</li>
<li>Conduct OMG Performance Check-Ins and provide coaching for continuous improvement. With a focus on the Housekeeping department.</li>
<li>Foster teamwork and a positive work environment to boost employee morale and retention.</li>
<li>Assisting with interviewing team members.</li>
<li>Ensuring that all safety and security policies and procedures are followed.</li>
</ul>
Financial & Revenue Management
 <ul>
<li>Monitor and control operational expenses, reducing waste and ensuring cost-effectiveness.</li>
<li>Participate in the preparation of the annual department operating budget and financial plans. Adhere to budget and control expenses with a focus on labor costs and guest consumed items.</li>
<li>In partnership with other department heads, identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue. Drive promotions and participate in revenue management.</li>
<li>Uses strategic techniques to design, build, and promote packages, specials/offerings to increase occupancy and revenue across our portfolio of properties.</li>
<li>Collaborative efforts with the Sales and Marketing Team.</li>
</ul>
Facility & Inventory Management
 <ul>
<li>Oversee maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.</li>
<li>Manage inventory of supplies, linens, and amenities while controlling costs.</li>
<li>Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality services and timely deliveries.</li>
</ul>
The Nitty Gritty
 <ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year College or University, or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is required to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.</li>
<li>The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the public.</li>
<li>The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.</li>
<li>The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and special orientation.</li>
<li>The ability to solve practical problems when only limited standardization exists.</li>
<li>The ability to interpret written and oral instructions.</li>
<li>Must possess basic negotiation skills and strong customer relations skills.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills: Full knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Word.</li>

What you’ll do: 
The Brass Tacks
 Assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department. Follows all appropriate policies and procedures (e.g., key control, lost and found).
 <ul>
<li>Develops and implements procedures to ensure that all housekeeping activities and services meet or exceed the established standards and goals.</li>
<li>Conducts daily inspections of serviced guestrooms, front of house areas, storage rooms and relevant back of house areas.</li>
<li>Assists in managing the departmental budget. Monitors revenue, expenses, and labor costs.</li>
<li>Reports all unsafe conditions immediately. Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.</li>
<li>Ensures all equipment is used only as intended.</li>
<li>Maintains department equipment and supply inventory levels appropriate to property requirements.</li>
<li>Advises guests, clients and team members on housekeeping matters.</li>
<li>Evaluates patterns or trends in guest complaints in order to plan and implement corrective actions.</li>
<li>Provides regular and on-going communication with all departments in order to keep staff informed of updates, changes and/or problematic situations.</li>
<li>Ensures the security of all housekeeping supplies, equipment and inventory by establishing and ensuring adherence to security standards.</li>
<li>Participates in the property’s Manager on Duty program as needed.</li>
<li>Ensures timely and courteous follow-through on all client, guest and team member requests.</li>
<li>Selects, supervises, trains, develops, schedules, disciplines, and counsels staff.</li>
<li>Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that empower and inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.</li>
<li>Performs in the capacity of any position supervised as needed.</li>
<li>Conducts training on job standards and areas of responsibility as needed.</li>
</ul>
The Nitty Gritty
 <ul>
<li>Minimum 3 years housekeeping experience in a similar environment required</li>
<li>Prior housekeeping lead/supervisory experience preferred</li>
<li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand Spanish and English.</li>
<li>General management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.</li>
<li>Financial management skills, including budget management, expense control and analysis of Profit and Loss statements.</li>
</ul>
