Columbia Vehicle Group is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Vehicle Assembly Technicians to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble vehicle components and systems according to specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in hands-on work and contributing to the production of reliable, high-quality vehicles.</p>
<h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></h4><ul><li>
Assemble electric vehicle components by placing parts in a specified sequence using bolts, clips, screws, staples, and glues/cements</li><li>
Use airpowered and batterypowered tools to complete assemblies according to work instructions</li><li>
Rotate to different workstations as production needs require</li><li>
Remain flexible with work assignments, as different vehicle models require varying assembly operations</li><li>
Read, understand, and follow written work instructions</li><li>
Navigate computer systems to:</li><li>
Access and review work instructions</li><li>
Crossreference part numbers</li><li>
Check inventory levels</li><li>
Reference production tables</li><li>
Constantly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds</li><li>
Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds</li><li>
Stand for up to 10 hours per day</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications:</b></h4><ul><li>
High school diploma or GED required</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license required</li><li>
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform handson assembly work</li><li>
Comfortable using airpowered and batterypowered hand tools</li><li>
Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate systems to access work instructions, part numbers, inventory, and production data</li><li>
Ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment</li><li>
Willingness to rotate between workstations and adapt to changing production needs</li><li>
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day)</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 10 pounds consistently</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Preferred Skills:</b></h4><ul><li>
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments</li><li>
Mechanical assembly experience in automotive, electric vehicle, or equipment manufacturing</li><li>
Electrical wiring, harness installation, or component assembly experience</li><li>
Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience</li><li>
Experience using airpowered and batterypowered hand tools</li><li>
Ability to read basic diagrams, schematics, or assembly drawings</li><li>
Familiarity with quality inspection standards and procedures</li><li>
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a production environment</li><li>

Vehicle Assembly Technician

<h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Position Summary:</b></h4><p>
The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, finishing, and inspecting vehicles to ensure high-quality standards are met. This role requires attention to detail, technical painting knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.</p>
<h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></h4><ul><li>
Mix paint and related supplies to achieve precise color matching</li><li>
Wet sand, buff, and prime vehicle surfaces</li><li>
Prep vehicles including taping, masking, and scuffing</li><li>
Stage and paint vehicles in designated paint areas</li><li>
Load and operate paint booth equipment</li><li>
Order and maintain paint and detailing supplies</li><li>
Inspect quality of completed units</li><li>
Maintain and detail built units prior to shipment</li><li>
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area</li><li>
Collaborate effectively with team members across production</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Skills &amp; Qualifications:</b></h4><ul><li>
Proven industrial or automotive paint experience required</li><li>
Strong colormatching knowledge</li><li>
Experience with body work and detailing</li><li>
