Job Overview This is an on-site, in-person position.We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Junior CAD Drafter/Designer to become a valuable member of our Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will generate accurate and detailed CAD drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, following specific departmental guidelines. This role involves close collaboration with our Engineering Manager, Design Engineers, and Project Managers. The selected candidate will be instrumental in creating comprehensive Fabrication Drawing Packages, Technical Bid Packages, P&amp;IDs, Bills of Material (BOMs), detailed layouts, and translating internal requirements into clear, production-ready designs and drawings.Duties<ul><li>Develop detailed 2D drawings, fabrication packages, bid package drawings using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.</li><li>Generate Sequential Assembly instructions, Installation drawings, Foundational drawings, lifting plans, Equipment loading and unloading illustrations by utilizing SolidWorks/AutoCAD.</li><li>Create system schematics, P&amp;ID&rsquo;s, single line diagrams, system layouts, material cut lists, using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.</li><li>Generate Assembly level Bill of Materials with sourcing details.</li><li>Create detailed welding drawing with all welding callout and fabrication details.</li><li>Develop detailed 2D drawings for Pipe spools for ASME and API applications.</li><li>Generate detailed instrument lists for fabrication and procurement packages.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned to support the drafting team and overall project objectives.</li><li>Revise, update and maintain drawings and layouts based on feedback and design changes from engineering team.</li><li>Support project timelines and communicate progress with team members.</li><li>Deliver complete and accurate 2D drawing packages in a timely manner.</li><li>Create complex finished designs from sketches, redlined drawings or from oral engineering presentations.</li><li>Implement principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T) per ASME Y 14.5-2018 (R2024)</li><li>Team player and maintains clean and orderly work area.</li></ul>Skills and Experience Required:<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree or Diploma or Equivalent in Drafting, Engineering or a related field.</li><li>3 - 5 years of experience in SolidWorks/AutoCAD Drafting relating to Process Piping, Mechanical, General Layout of equipment, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&amp;IDs) and Bill of Materials.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in mechanical engineering a plus</li><li>Experience with SolidWorks PDM is required.</li><li>Great mathematical skills and fundamentals in geometry and trigonometry</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills</li><li>Experience with Sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing is a plus</li><li>Working knowledge of supporting software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook</li><li>A proficient knowledge of Solid Works, AutoCAD</li><li>An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles and an awareness of the environmental impact of design ideas</li><li>Strong ability to communicate with teammates on project blockers, updates on assignments, and overall responsiveness via email and MS Teams</li><li>Appreciation for business demands and an understanding of manufacturing processes</li><li>Excellent communication skills, Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand English.</li><li>Commitment to excellence</li><li>Personal attributes: Commitment / Dependability, Even Temperament, Integrity</li></ul>If you're passionate about design and ready to make an immediate impact in a collaborative team, we invite you to apply for this Junior CAD Drafter position.Job Type: Full-timePay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
