Job Summary
Responsible for owning the end-to-end strategy, operations, and performance management of external competitive intelligence vendors and the Company&rsquo;s competitive data ecosystem. Leads development of sweep strategy, ensures delivery accuracy and quality across competitive data assets, and oversees daily vendor interactions across multiple competitive research types and segments. Partners closely with Finance, EBI, and internal insights teams to shape the evolution of core competitive data sources and ensure alignment to enterprise needs. Contributes to key monthly and quarterly deliverables, executive reporting cycles, and major strategic forums.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities<ul><li>
Owns and leads the competitive sweep strategy, ensuring alignment of methodologies, markets, and vendor execution to enterprise priorities.</li><li>
Manages daily interactions with competitive intelligence vendors, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete delivery across all competitive research types (pricing, product, availability, CX, mobile, and market assets).</li><li>
Oversees vendor performance, including SLAs, quality control, escalation management, and delivery improvements.</li><li>
Partners closely with Finance and EBI to integrate competitive asset data into financial modeling, market valuation, and strategic reporting.</li><li>
Leads the strategy and requirements for evolving the Company&rsquo;s core competitive data assets (pricing databases, availability maps, product lineups, feed enhancements).</li><li>
Ensures competitive datasets support quarterly and monthly executive deliverables, including Earnings Prep, Competitive Briefings, and the Monthly Business Review.</li><li>
Ensures internal partners receive clear, actionable summaries of competitive data trends, shifts, and anomalies.</li><li>
Collaborates with Product, Pricing, GTM, and Divisions to ensure data quality supports operational and strategic needs.</li><li>
Maintains documentation, scoring frameworks, and audit trails for competitive data collection and validation.</li><li>
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.</li></ul>
Requirements<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Marketing, Economics, or related field.</li><li>
5&ndash;8 years of experience in competitive intelligence, vendor management, market research, or data strategy.</li><li>
Strong experience working with external research/data vendors and managing performance or SLAs.</li><li>
Working knowledge of competitive data methodology, telecommunications products, or market analysis.</li><li>
Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong attention to detail.</li><li>
Experience collaborating with Finance, analytics teams, and insights partners preferred.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
