 </b>The Assistant Program Director will work closely with the Program Director to oversee the day-to-day operations, staff management, accounting systems operations, and program development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our students and families.<br>
<br>
<b>ESSENTIAL, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b><br>
<br>
<b>Essential Functions</b><ul><li>
Aids and gives support to the Program Director in problem solving, project planning, management, development, and execution of stated goals and objectives.
</li><li>Oversees and administers the day-to-day activities of the office; develops procedures and systems that ensure productive and efficient office operation.</li><li>
Independently prepares non-routine letters and/or reports, which may be highly sensitive and confidential in nature.
</li><li>Maintain a participant database (ProCare) comprised of both student and parent/guardian information for attendance, billing, enrollment, etc.</li><li>
Provides direct staff support to the Program Director, including greeting and assisting visitors; handling phone calls and inquiries; scheduling and maintaining calendars and travel arrangements; handling day-to-day public relations and problem-solving; providing transcription and word-processing support; and enrolling Premier Academy students.</li><li>
Oversees and facilitates personnel administration procedures and documentation for the office, coordinates recruitment planning and searches, as appropriate.</li><li>
Aids in the understanding and interpretation of Premier Academy and Communities In Schools of Southeast Harris and Brazoria County&rsquo;s policies and procedures, as appropriate, and ensures that office and campus operations follow policy provisions and standards.</li><li>
Maintains an inventory of program equipment and supplies.</li><li>
Assists in the coordination, supervision, and completion of special projects, as appropriate.</li><li>
Assists with the development and preparation of forms and documents. Familiar with Adobe Sign.</li><li>
Maintains a spreadsheet of deadlines and required documents.</li><li>
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul><b>
Staff Supervision:</b><ul><li>
Provide leadership and direction to program staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.</li><li>
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate program goals and expectations, share updates and resources, and address any concerns or challenges.</li><li>
Foster a positive and supportive work environment where staff feel valued, motivated, and empowered to contribute to the success of the program.</li></ul><br>
<b>
Program Development:</b><ul><li>
Assist in the development and implementation of program curriculum, ensuring that it is age-appropriate, culturally relevant, and aligned with best practices in youth development and education.</li><li>
Evaluate program effectiveness on an ongoing basis and make recommendations for improvements or modifications as needed.</li><li>
Stay informed about current trends and research in after-school programming and incorporate new ideas and approaches into the program to keep it fresh and engaging for students.</li></ul><br>
<b>
Administrative Tasks:</b><ul><li>
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records such as enrollment, student files and reports.
</li><li>Assist with budget development and management, ensuring that program resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to meet program goals and objectives.</li></ul><br>

<b>Education/Experience:</b><br>
Minimum bachelor&rsquo;s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, education, or related field. Master&rsquo;s degree in social work, sociology, or Public Administration preferred, and/or 5 years of experience working with social service or after-school programs.<br>
<br>
<b>Language Skills:</b><br>
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and procedures.<br>
Excellent oral and written communication skills.<br>
Prefer bilingual but not required.<br>
Ability to function in a diverse job situation.<br>
<br>
Interact consistently in a positive manner with a diverse group of individuals of the school, city, and state entities, as well as brand subsidiaries and the state office of CIS.<br>
<br>
<b>Mathematical Skills:</b><br>
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as budgets, payroll, and the daily operations of the program.<br>
<br>
<b>Reasoning Ability:</b><br>
Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.<br>
<br>
<b>Travel:</b><br>
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.<br>

<b>Physical Requirements:</b><br>
To perform the job, a person must have the ability to do the following physical actions:<ul><li>
Frequently sit (approximately 25% to 80% of the time)</li><li>
Frequently stand (approximately 10% to 60% of the time)</li><li>
Frequently walk (Approximately 10% to 40% of the time), generally from 5-30 feet within the office</li><li>
Frequently lift and carry an average of 5 to 20 pounds and occasionally as much as 40 to 70 pounds or more. Items to be lifted or carried may include, but are not limited to, boxes or files, copy paper, supplies, materials, and donations. Most items will be carried by hand. Most items must be lifted to knee or waist level; some to chest level; and only a few overhead.</li><li>
Frequently push and pull objects to open and close file drawers, occasionally move items around the office, such as a box of copy paper or computer paper, occasionally a small piece of furniture, the office chair, the vacuum cleaner, etc.</li><li>
Occasionally, bend and kneel to file or retrieve items.</li><li>
Occasionally, flex the upper trunk forward at the waist and partially flex the knees, and sometimes twist or rotate the upper trunk to the right or left while sitting or standing.</li><li>
Occasionally, place arms above, at, and below shoulder height to reach.</li><li>
Occasionally climb stairs or inclined surfaces.</li><li>
Ability to get to and from work; ability to move from one work location to another work location during the day if necessary. Possession of a valid Driver's License for client transportation purposes or to run necessary errands. Must furnish current proof of insurance.</li><li>
Must be able to work a flexible schedule. This position may require some work in the evenings and weekends.</li></ul><br>
<b>
Environmental Conditions:</b><ul><li>
Occasionally requires going outside during hot or cold temperatures or during wet conditions to work with clients or prepare for special events.</li><li>
Occasionally requires going outside during evening and night hours.</li><li>
Works alone at times but usually works with others.</li><li>
May have somewhat cramped work quarters, depending on the availability of office space.</li></ul><b>
