This position is an hourly position consisting of 40 hours per week with some on call as needed. The maintenance employee&rsquo;s main responsibility is to ensure the maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner within budget.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Qualifications</b>:</p><div><ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED required, license or certifications with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or OSHA Safety preferred.</li><li>
3 or more years of prior maintenance and/ or construction experience.</li><li>
Prior experience with, but not limited to, plumbing, painting, lawn maintenance, dry wall.</li><li>
Prior experience working within code regulations.</li><li>
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills</li><li>
Able to remain calm on site while working with different people, personalities.</li><li>
Reliable transportation to all facility sites.</li><li>
Active drivers license, vehicle insurance and registration.</li><li>
Able to clear NYS Staff Exclusion List and NYS Criminal Justice Background Check</li></ul></div><p></p><p><b><br>
Job Responsibilities:</b></p><div><ul><li>
Inspect and identify repair needs of facilities and grounds.</li><li>
Trouble shoot issues to determine necessary repairs</li><li>
Assemble new office furniture</li><li>
Perform general repairs that do not require specialized technicians unless you are certified or licensed to perform said repairs.</li><li>
Mow and trim lawns at agency owned or operated facilities.</li><li>
Ensure there is no snow or ice near entry paths or stairways leading to entry paths.</li><li>
Ensure the elevator is inspected and in working condition.</li><li>
Review maintenance request forms, complete request if said request does not require a specialized technician. (Ex: electrician, plumber, etc.)</li><li>
Sign off on completed maintenance requests.</li><li>
Maintain a maintenance request/completion log.</li><li>
Attend required meetings and/or training requested by the agency.</li><li>
Adhere to agency policies and procedures.</li><li>
When ordering supplies, follow the supply ordering procedure.</li><li>
Adhere to professional boundaries with fellow employees and partner employees.</li><li>
Attend supervisions to communicate needs, concerns and project completion.</li><li>
Keep maintenance area clean and organized.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><b><br>
