Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. This position requires expertise in various dental procedures and a strong commitment to patient care. This job would require working at both the Lewiston and Farmington offices.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.</li><li>Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.</li><li>Operate dental imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes, ensuring high-quality medical imaging results.</li><li>Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.</li><li>Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support general dentistry practices.</li><li>Stay updated on dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Maine RDH License</li><li>Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in using Dentrix is a plus, but not required.</li><li>Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and both pediatric and adult dentistry is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.</li><li>Understanding of dental and medical terminology and the ability to review documentation effectively.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
