Purpose: The Accounting Clerk shall work in concert with the Accounting Department to provide accounting, bookkeeping, and other financial services to the Community Title &amp; Escrow, True Title Company and affiliate companies. The Accounting Clerk will be generally familiar with all office &amp; escrow accounting procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.Reports to: Accounting ManagerPrimary Duties &amp; ResponsibilitiesSome or all of the following duties &amp; responsibilities may be assigned to the Accounting Assistant as business needs dictate: &middot; Reconcile and post all E-recording fees for all companies processed via EPN;&middot; Approve ACH transfers for earnest money received via Trustfunds and online payment platform daily;&middot; Post wire fees and analysis fees monthly for all escrow bank accounts;&middot; Verify all deposit slips and clear unused deposit tickets;&middot; Serve as the main point of contact for information related to outstanding checks;&middot; Place Void&rsquo;s and Stop payments on company checks as needed;&middot; Setup wire templates for all True Title/Leaders Title offices ensuring proper procedures are followed;&middot; Work closely with all offices to ensure uncleared checks and escrow trial balance reports are cleared up in a timely manner;&middot; Serve as back-up for other duties as needed, including but not limited to: Positive pay, Trustfunds, Online payments, Rynoh reconciliation, CSC Balancing, retrieving invoices, remote bank deposits, etc.Other Duties &amp; ResponsibilitiesSome or all of the following duties &amp; responsibilities may be required as business needs dictate: &middot; Filing paid invoices&middot; Assist with administrative duties related to Unclaimed property and Stale checks as requested&middot; Ordering check stock for all offices&middot; Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements &middot; 1+ years of accounting experience OR relevant experience within the banking or administrative setting.
