<div>Community Youth Services&rsquo; Foster Care Program is looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Associate Case Manager in the Port Angeles &amp; Sequim area. The Associate Case Manager is a foundation in the support network for families, crucial in creating a stable, nurturing environment. This role is key in proactively preventing and resolving conflicts and crises, thereby strengthening family units and enhancing community well-being. By fostering parenting skills and linking families to vital resources, the Associate Case Manager empowers caregivers, enriching youth&rsquo;s lives and aiding youth in developing resilience and personal strengths. Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Candidates must be a minimum of 21 years of age.</li>
<li>A year of experience working directly with youth or two years of social services education. If education is used to meet this requirement, degree/courses must be in social science or a related field. A transcript will be required to determine if courses taken qualify.</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Valid TB test results within the previous 12 months prior to hire or the ability to obtain a negative TB test within 30 days of employment.</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Support families in creating and sustaining supportive and therapeutic environments.</li>
<li>Apply behavior management strategies and track progress to promote positive change.</li>
<li>Arrange individual time with youth for constructive activities, securing necessary permissions.</li>
<li>Facilitate activities that enhance independent living skills.</li>
<li>Collaborate with case managers on service plan development and implementation.</li>
<li>Guide families in utilizing and developing community supports.</li>
<li>Understand and meet the supervision and safety requirements of youth, offering mentorship and positive examples.</li>
<li>Provide transportation assistance for youth as needed.</li>
<li>Ensure proper supervision of youth during organized activities and visits.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions and activities.</li>

Agency Qualifications:

<ul><li>Successfully clear a thorough background check with no history of causing harm, particularly to children or vulnerable adults.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain a clean criminal record, demonstrating professional and personal integrity.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Hold a valid Washington State Driver's License with at least five years of driving experience and a good driving record for the past three years.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide proof of auto insurance with coverage of $100,000 or more.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Show cultural sensitivity and the ability to respond to the diverse needs of the organization&rsquo;s community.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Acquire CPR/1st Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certification within 30 days of employment (required before starting some positions).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.</li></ul>
