Scope Summary: 
The Marketing Manager, Academic will manage, execute, measure, and analyze integrated, multi-channel marketing programs—including a strong emphasis on digital marketing—that drive awareness of and demand for CompTIA’s products and solutions in the academic (post-secondary and higher education) markets.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Understand the nuances of academic personas</li>
<li>Utilize data analytics and ensure appropriate data capture in measuring success and formulating plans</li>
<li>Ensure ROI on all marketing activities and executed campaigns</li>
<li>Manage, execute, and support channel event strategy</li>
<li>Execute outreach cadence to existing clients to build and deliver industry case studies, trends, data, white papers, webinars, and product launches</li>
<li>Support sales and marketing teams with appropriate marketing activities to promote products and solutions</li>
<li>Lead and project manage the marketing execution for new certification product launches</li>
<li>Execute pre- and post-mortems for all marketing campaigns to ensure ROI and continual improvement</li>
<li>Manage and support all functions of channel marketing strategy and execution</li>
<li>Communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders within sales and product teams</li>
<li>Deliver to metrics and KPIs</li>
</ul>
Digital Marketing Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Plan, execute, and optimize targeted digital marketing campaigns across channels such as email, SEO and paid media</li>
<li>Develop and manage content strategy for digital channels, including websites, landing pages, blogs, and social media</li>
<li>Leverage digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush) to track, report on, and improve digital marketing performance and lead generation</li>
<li>Manage CompTIA’s digital presence for academic audiences, ensuring brand consistency and relevancy across all digital platforms</li>
<li>Develop and execute A/B and multivariate testing for email, ad creative, landing pages, and other digital assets</li>
<li>Implement SEO best practices to increase organic search rankings and site traffic for academic product pages</li>
<li>Stay current with digital marketing best practices, technologies, trends, and compliance</li>
</ul>
Key Performance Metrics: 
<ul>
<li>Channel sales growth to engage new customers</li>
<li>Number of marketing qualified leads, data capture and email capture</li>
<li>Growth in sales of net new</li>
<li>Improvement in digital engagement metrics (click-through rates, conversion rates, cost per lead/acquisition)</li>
<li>Increase in organic and paid traffic to digital assets</li>
</ul>
Skills and Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Expertise in managing direct and digital marketing campaigns and driving outcomes/results</li>
<li>Expertise in generating leads in the Business-to-Business market</li>
<li>Proficiency with digital marketing and analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.)</li>
<li>Excellent visual, presentation, and written communication skills</li>
<li>Develops clear and effective digital communications</li>
<li>Delivers to appropriate performance goals & KPIs</li>
<li>Strong bias for action and taking incremental steps</li>
<li>Constantly benchmarks strategies against other B2B and digital-first brands</li>
<li>Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure shared goals and attainment</li>
</ul>
Education and/or Experience: 
<ul>
<li>Degree preferred but not required for the role</li>
<li>5+ years of direct experience in marketing, with significant experience in digital marketing and campaign execution</li>
