Compass Health Center is a leading provider of specialized mental health services in Illinois, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin. Founded in 2011, the center offers comprehensive in-person and virtual programs, including Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services. These programs cater to individuals who require more support than traditional outpatient therapy but do not need inpatient hospitalization. The center collaborates with various stakeholders, including clinicians, schools, and community members, to deliver high-quality care for children and adults facing mental health challenges.

Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis &ndash; every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role</div>
The Medical Intake Coordinator is responsible for the medical registration of new patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to communicate patient health information that requires treatment planning and/or further medical consultation.

Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings.

What You'll Do:
<ul>
<li>Manages the medical registration process of patients entering the healthcare facility</li>
<li>Provides administrative support to the Nursing Department and Psychiatry Department</li>
<li>Collects and documents intake information such as medication and health history</li>
<li>Communicates and collaborates with the nursing team regarding intake information</li>
<li>Collects and documents of vital signs, height, weight</li>
<li>Drafting medical documentation and lab orders under the direction of the psychiatry provider</li>
<li>Transcribing medical information to patient's charts &amp; communicating pertinent information to the treatment team</li>
<li>Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, and client facility staff.</li>
<li>Provides supplementary assistance with infection control and prevention measures</li>
<li>Medication, medical supply, and equipment inventory</li>
<li>Initiating Prior Authorizations for medications and diagnostic tests</li>
<li>Participates in professional development activities</li>
<li>All other duties within the scope of training as assigned by the Director of Nursing</li>
</ul>
Consults with:
<ul>
<li>Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Program Directors, Staff Therapists, Staff Nurses, and Administrative Staff</li>
</ul>
Who You Are:
<ul>
<li>Exceptional interpersonal and therapeutic communication skills</li>
<li>Robust organizational and time management skills, with noteworthy attention to detail</li>
<li>Team player with adaptiveness and agility</li>
<li>Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy (highly preferred)</li>
<li>Medical Assistant (preferred)</li>
<li>Current CPR certification (preferred)</li>
<li>Working knowledge of pharmaceuticals (preferred)</li>
<li>Experience in mental health care (preferred)</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Often required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms.</li>
<li>Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch.</li>
<li>The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds</li>

<li>this is a full-time position Monday through Friday, with primary hours of 10:00am-6:00pm</li>

 Utilizes Electronic Medical Record system as needed to verify patient appointments and to schedule appointments for clinicians and/or outpatient psychiatrists with patients.&nbsp;

About This Role</div>
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate direct patient care to all of our populations. If you are passionate about providing your patients with exemplary care, while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric conditions, you would be a great addition to our team.

Our brand new state-of-the-art facility at Oak Brook is modern, bright, and creates an inviting therapeutic space for both patients and employees alike. The hours for this role will be 10am - 6pm M-F with no on-calls, holidays, weekends, etc.

What You'll Do

<li>Nursing Assessments</li>
<li>Measuring &amp; recording vitals</li>
<li>Phone triage</li>
<li>Performing basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies</li>

<li>Assisting providers with writing laboratory orders and retrieving results</li>

Who You Are

<li>Hold a BSN degree (preferred) or LPN</li>
<li>Are a Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in Illinois</li>
<li>Are certified in Healthcare Provider CPR</li>
<li>Have a minimum of 1 year of Hospital Experience (preferred)</li>
<li>Have experience in mental health (preferred)</li>
<li>Possess excellent therapeutic communication skills</li>
