This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact while developing your leadership and childcare skills in a lively, supportive setting.Duties<ul><li>Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of fun and educational activities tailored to different age groups, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games</li><li>Maintain a safe environment by supervising children at all times and implementing proper behavior management strategies</li><li>Provide first aid when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all campers</li><li>Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through compassionate care and tailored activities</li><li>Foster positive relationships with campers by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders regarding camper progress or concerns</li><li>Assist with daily camp routines such as check-in/check-out procedures, snack time supervision, and setting up activity spaces</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly preferred</li><li>Demonstrated classroom management skills to guide behavior positively and maintain order during activities</li><li>Knowledge of childhood development principles to support age-appropriate engagement</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) to ensure safety standards are met</li><li>Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support or behavioral management techniques</li><li>Strong communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, and team members</li><li>Enthusiasm for outdoor activities, sports coaching, theater arts or similar interests that can enrich the camp experience</li></ul>This exciting role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about working with children in a nurturing environment.
