NO PHONE CALLS - PLEASE APPLY ONLINEWe are a specialty medical clinic looking for an experienced medical billing and collections specialist to work part time (15-20hrs) out of our offices in Framingham, MA to do all aspects of our billing for our 1 physician office. It would be helpful if you have experience in using eCW.Our office has an upbeat, positive, co-operative and supportive team culture, which is very important to us. We are looking for a person to complement our culture.Education or Certification<ul><li>Associate or Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree a plus</li><li>Medical Billing or Coding Certification a plus (Certified Medical Billing Specialist, Certified Medical Coder, or similar)</li><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>Experience and Skills</li><li>Significant medical billing experience is a MUST</li><li>Familiarity with medical coding and procedures</li><li>Strong Knowledge of medical insurance</li><li>EClinicalworks knowledge</li><li>Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) a plus</li><li>Proficiency with Excel a strong plus</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage all aspects of our insurance claims for 1 physician</li><li>Receive patient claim data and submit insurance claims for visits and procedures performed</li><li>Issue billing statements to patients when necessary</li><li>Work with insurance companies to monitor claims status, pursue and dispute claim denials, elevate claims to appeals, and/or seek all methods to resolve open claims</li><li>Support office by explaining patient account history, assist with communication of financial policy, and communicating with patients who have questions on insurance or billing items</li><li>Maintain accounts receivable aging reports and constantly review and resolve past due, credit, and debit balances</li><li>Assist office with properly communicating with patients regarding pre-payments, open balances, and past-due accounts</li><li>Issue regular reports on accounts receivable and billing performance</li><li>Support office managers in enforcing proper front desk, treatment plan, and in-office financial policies</li><li>Assist in other billing and credentialing matters as needed</li></ul>Excellent Compensation and Benefits<ul><li>Strong Salary commensurate with experience</li><li>Medical / Dental / Optical Insurance</li><li>Generous 401k plan</li><li>Short tern and long term disability</li><li>Very STRONG Bonus plan for highly motivated and effective professional</li></ul>Employment to begin immediately.
