<div>The Maintenance Assistant will report to the Maintenance/Facility Supervisor. He/she is responsible for maintaining shop and facility cleanliness along with performing various duties as assigned by the Maintenance/Facility Supervisor. Complete preventative and corrective maintenance activities in various facility buildings, equipment and the grounds. Must demonstrate a high level of detail and standards.

</div><div><b>Duties and Responsibilities</b></div>
<div>1. Perform Facility duties as assigned by the Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor to ensure functional performance, appearance, and safe conditions. These include painting, material handling of parts and equipment, along with grounds maintenance.</div>
<div>2. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities work from specifications, drawings and manuals.</div>
<div>3. Safely work independently and around others by following all required procedures and processes.</div>
<div>4. Repair, maintain, lubricate, install and replace plant equipment as assigned.</div>
<div>5. Responsible for keeping the floors, windows, machinery and the overall facility clean.
</div><div>6. Prepare, record and maintain maintenance records associated with equipment procedures &amp; manuals.</div>
<div>7. Periodically drive CRT vehicles to drop off or pick up supplies and materials along with grounds equipment.</div>
<div>8. Safely work independently and around others and identify plant deficiencies and other unacceptable conditions if observed.</div>
<div>9. Perform additional duties as assigned.</div>
<div>10. Must maintain positive, cooperative attitude and be able to work with other employees as a member of an organizational team.</div>

<div><b>Required Qualifications</b></div>
<div>1. High school diploma</div>
<div>2. High level of attention to detail</div>
<div>3. Must be able to read and follow written work instructions and work with minimal supervision.
</div><div>4. Ability to operate a tow motor.
</div><div>5. Valid driver&rsquo;s license and a clear driving record for the past 3 years is required.
</div><div>a. Employee will be required to submit to a Motor Vehicle Record Check upon offer of employment and annually thereafter. An unacceptable record includes a DUI, Reckless Operations and/or Fleeing the Scene of an Accident.</div>

<div><b>Other Qualifications</b></div>
<div>1. Education, training and developed competencies in the areas of industrial maintenance including electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical controls, and systems along with fabrication, etc.</div>
<div>2. Previous snow plowing and land scaping experience.</div>
<div>3. Ability to operate small equipment, i.e., skid steer, small tractors, scissor lifts, JLG&rsquo;s, etc.</div>

<div><b>Work Environment</b></div>
<div>1. This position has pre-employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.</div>
<div>2. Work in varying positions from time to time. Stand and/or sit for portions of the shift.</div>
<div>3. Move parts (&gt;50 pounds) using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods. Move less heavy parts (&lt;50 pounds) with or without hoists, slings, or carts.
</div><div>4. Frequently exposed to wet and warm conditions.</div>
<div>5. The noise level in some work areas may be loud.</div>
<div>6. Follow all safety and environmental rules that apply.</div>
<div>7. Use of safety and personal protective equipment is mandatory under some conditions. The following may or may not be required.</div>
<div> a. Ear plugs.</div>
<div> b. Safety glasses.</div>
<div> c. Uniform.</div>
<div> d. Face shield.</div>
<div> e. Chemical resistant protective jackets.
</div><div>8. Occasionally use powered and non-powered hand tools.
