Direct client - Website Content Manager, Columbus, OH Hybrid - possible in-office days of Mon/Wed in Columbus, OH Teams interview LOCAL candidates preferredPosition Overview:Opportunities for our direct client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Website Content Manager to lead the planning, development, and maintenance of content across OOD&rsquo;s public-facing website. This role is responsible for ensuring that all digital content is accessible, accurate, user-centered, and aligned with OOD&rsquo;s mission and brand. The ideal candidate will have experience managing content within the InnovateOhio Platform (IOP) using HCL Web Content Manager (WCM) tools.Key Responsibilities:&bull;Lead the strategy, creation, and governance of website content to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment with OOD&rsquo;s communications goals.&bull;Serve as the primary author and editor within the IOP WCM/HCL platform, managing updates, new content creation, and structural changes.&bull;Collaborate with communications, program, and IT staff to gather content requirements and ensure timely updates.&bull;Ensure all content meets State of Ohio digital accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 compliance).&bull;Monitor website analytics and user feedback to inform content improvements and optimize user experience.&bull;Manage the web content lifecycle, including regular audits and archiving.&bull;Resource communications and program staff on content best practices and platform use.&bull;Coordinate with InnovateOhio Platform support teams for technical enhancements and troubleshooting.Qualifications:&bull;Associate degree or higher in Web/Digital Media or Design, Internet/Information Design, or a related field.&bull;2+ years of experience managing website content, preferably in the public sector or a regulated environment.&bull;Proficiency with HCL Web Content Manager (WCM) or experience working within the InnovateOhio Platform.&bull;Proficiency with the Cloudinary Digital Asset Manager (or equivalent).&bull;Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and user-centered design principles.&bull;Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.&bull;Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.&bull;Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Piwik PRO) is a plus.Preferred Skills:&bull;Experience with content strategy and governance frameworks.&bull;Knowledge of Ohio state government digital policies and procedures.&bull;Familiarity with HTML/CSS basics and SEO best practices.Job Type: ContractPay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hourWork Location: In person
