</b></div>Responsibilities:
<div><b>About the Role:</b><br>
As an Intermodal Equipment Operator (also known as a Terminal Operator), you'll play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You&rsquo;ll operate specialized equipment&mdash;such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders&mdash;to load, unload, and relocate containers as part of our daily logistics operations. Your work ensures containers are handled accurately and safely, keeping freight moving on time.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li><div>
Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.</div></li><li><div>
Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.</div></li><li><div>
Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.</div></li><li><div>
Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure operational safety.</div></li><li><div>
Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.</div></li><li><div>
Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.</div></li></ul>
Qualifications:<div><br>
</div><ul><li>Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial environment preferred</li><li>
Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.</li><li>
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.</li><li>
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.</li><li>
Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 50lbs</li><li>
Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening<ul><li>
The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. Use of cannabis is strictly prohibited. Preferred Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li><div>
Experience in intermodal or rail yard operations.</div></li><li><div>
Familiarity with container handling equipment such as hostlers, top loaders, or cranes.</div></li><li><div>
CDL or equipment certifications a plus, but not required.</div></li></ul><div>
