Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Secure, schedule, and maintain clinical placement sites that meet program and accreditation requirements</li><li>
Serve as primary liaison to clinical partners, addressing site needs, student issues, performing site visits, and placement logistics</li><li>
Track and ensure completion of all students' clinical requirements, including documentation, background checks, immunizations, and compliance items</li><li>
Monitor student progress during clinical rotations and provide support in resolving concerns or barriers to completion</li><li>
Collaborate with faculty and leadership to forecast placement needs, evaluate site performance, and support program growth</li><li>
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases, and reports related to clinical placements and student requirements</li><li>
Coordinate orientation and onboarding processes for students entering clinical rotations</li><li>
Ensure alignment with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements</li><li>
Inventory, maintain, and procure equipment, supplies</li><li>
Programs with Sterile Processing: Provide clinical placement coordination, programs support and student support for Sterile Processing programs, including managing placements for Sterile Processing students</li><li>
Participate in orientations, departmental meetings, graduations, and other events and initiatives</li><li>
Support the accreditation process and ensure ongoing program compliance</li><li>
Assist with scheduling of NCCT and CST exams in a timely manner. All students have to sit for the certification prior to graduation, conduct review courses for CST and NCCT certification</li><li>
Engage in systematic program evaluation and reporting</li><li>
Teach courses as needed</li><li>

The Director Clinical Education, Respiratory Therapy oversees the coordination and availability of clinical placement sites to ensure high-quality experiential learning for students. This role is responsible for preparing students for clinical assignments through instructional support, lab practice, and classroom education, as well as managing required pre-placement processes such as scheduling, physicals, background checks, and drug testing to meet clinical site requirements.</div>
