About the Role:</h2>
As a Staff Product Manager in the Kafka Connect team at Confluent, you&rsquo;ll contribute to the mission of building the world&rsquo;s best data streaming platform. You will help drive Confluent Connect&rsquo;s Enterprise feature portfolio. You will also be responsible for enabling seamless, enterprise-grade integration between Kafka and common external systems, and supporting on-premise deployments and managed services in Confluent Cloud. You are expected to use or introduce AI/ML capabilities for the features you are building or enhancing. You will be working with the field on many GTM initiatives and be the focal point for customer success.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
What You Will Do:</h2><ul><li>
You&rsquo;ll be responsible for the success of a major product initiative, from initial conception and customer development to growth strategy.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll become the trusted resource for your product, making sure that the engineering, design, sales, and marketing have what they need to make the right trade-offs, build the right product, and grow it successfully in the market.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
What You Will Bring:</h2><ul><li>
8+ years of experience as a software product manager, ideally for an Enterprise technical product</li><li>
Empathy for our enterprise customers, and a passion for solving their problems with the software, sometimes being hands-on.</li><li>
Ability to craft a product strategy and roadmap in concert with customers, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distill technical concepts to a non-technical audience</li><li>
Strong technical competency, especially with distributed data systems, public and private clouds, and stream processing</li><li>
Experience with a modern integration platform is a plus</li><li>
Experience with Enterprise software features like security, networking, observability is a plus</li><li>
MBA is a strong plus</li><li>

About the Role:</h2>
Confluent is looking for a highly skilled and engaging Technical Instructor to deliver world-class instructor-led training (ILT) on Apache Kafka and Confluent products to our Global System Integrator (GSI) partner ecosystem in the Asia Pacific region, with an emphasis on India. As a member of our Global Partner Enablement team, you will empower partners to successfully deploy and optimize Kafka-based Confluent solutions. The ideal candidate is not only an expert in Kafka and Confluent technologies but also an exceptional communicator and teacher with a passion for driving technical excellence in the partner community. This role will act as the primary Confluent enablement advocate for APAC, supporting their L&amp;D teams to drive awareness and adoption across business groups, practices, and geographies.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
What You Will Do:</h2><ul><li>
Conduct high-quality instructor-led training sessions (virtual and in person), and facilitate hands-on labs and exercises to rapidly increase our Asia Pacific GSI talent pool and certifications.</li><li>
Organize and deliver technical content focused on Kafka fundamentals, Confluent Cloud, and Confluent Platform, including real-world applications, advanced configurations, and performance optimization.</li><li>
Foster strong GSI partner relationships, prioritize impactful training, align programs with client needs, and shape a strategic, results-driven training plan</li><li>
Collect feedback from training participants to continuously improve course materials and delivery techniques.</li><li>
Collaborate with the curriculum development team to update content, ensuring alignment with the latest Kafka and Confluent product updates.</li><li>
Stay current with Apache Kafka, Confluent&rsquo;s products, and emerging trends in distributed data streaming.</li><li>
Contribute to internal knowledge bases by documenting best practices, FAQs, and common technical challenges encountered by partners.</li><li>
Collaborate with internal teams, including Product, Engineering, and Partner Solutions Architects, to ensure training content reflects the latest technical developments.</li><li>
Represent Confluent at partner training events, technical workshops, and conferences across Asia Pacific, as needed.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
What You Will Bring:</h2>
Required<ul><li>
5+ years of experience in a technical trainer / sales engineer / professional services consultant or equivalent technical position.</li><li>
Expertise in Apache Kafka and familiarity with Confluent products, including coreconcepts like producers, consumers, Kafka Streams, and connectors.</li><li>
Proven experience delivering technical training or presentations to diverse audiences (developers, architects, and IT professionals).</li><li>
Strong understanding of distributed systems, real-time data streaming, and event-driven architectures.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible way.</li><li>
Experience with designing and implementing strategic training and enablement plans with a well-defined Point of View.</li><li>
Proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Java.</li><li>
Familiarity with tools and technologies used in hands-on labs (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP).</li><li>
Experienced with virtual classroom training tools, such as Zoom.</li><li>
Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.</li></ul>
Preferred<ul><li>
Previous experience working with Global System Integrators, ideally Accenture and TCS in India.</li><li>
Certification in Confluent products or similar technologies.</li><li>
Experience with instructional design, adult learning principles, or technical curriculum development.</li><li>
