We are seeking a caring, inspiring and enthusiastic <b>teacher </b>who can be a contributing professional team member in a class of young children. This position will work Monday &ndash; Friday, 8:30-5:30 pm, year-round.<br>
</div><ul><li>Applicants with experience working with children with differing abilities are highly preferred and compensated.</li></ul><div><b><br>

Requirements:</b></div><ul><li>
3-5 years of experience with young children, ages 1-4.</li><li>
Experience with constructivist pedagogy and emergent curriculum.</li><li>
4 year education degree in education or 4-year degree in another area of study and the 90-hour Childcare Course. If 90 hour course is not complete, willing to begin the coursework in the first three months.</li><li>
Creative, team player, excellent communicator, nurturing, dedicated, and flexible.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Set up, plan, and implement provocations, lessons and activities that are developmentally appropriate.</li><li>
Follow all school, synagogue, and requirements set by the Office of Childcare, MD State Department of Education.</li><li>
Support the children&rsquo;s physical, emotional, and special needs.</li><li>
Ensure the safety of all children with proper supervision and care.</li><li>
Supporting the school's educational philosophy, values, Jewish content, and the children and families experience.</li><li>
Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with the team and leadership regarding the students, families and the classroom.</li><li>
Create and maintain documentation of student progress, incidents, and be familiar with all student needs and health issues.</li><li>
Participate in all team meetings and family programming assigned, beyond school hours.</li><li>
Physical ability to care and insure the safety of all children including lifting, carrying, and running.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
