Job descriptionA busy and fast paced Orthopedic/spine office seeking an enthusiastic, and inquisitive Medical Assistant.****Cover letter required in order to be considered for this position***Requirements:<ul><li>Must have an interest in orthopedic/ spine/ pain management.</li><li>CMA or Bachelor's degree preferred</li></ul>Personal Attributes:<ul><li>The opportunity to explore a new specialty</li><li>Ready to engage ones knowledge and exceed expectations.</li><li>A compassionate and reliable member of our team.</li></ul>Clinical Duties:<ul><li>Perform standard MA duties</li><li>Knowledge of EMR systems</li><li>Assist with in office procedures such as trigger point injections, or epidural steroid injections.</li><li>Verify that patient understands plan of care.</li><li>Provide educational materials specific to patient's diagnosis.</li><li>Complete verbal order for imaging, medication(s), or other conservative treatment</li><li>Check for medication refill requests in e-prescribe, review medication requests coming through from faxes, and phone messages. Clinical/medication refill questions may be directed to supervisor, or to provider.</li><li>Scribing</li><li>Employee may be cross trained with Administrative/Secretarial skills if needed. This will be determined by supervisor.</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hourMedical Specialty:<ul><li>Orthopedics</li></ul>Work Location: In person
