<br><div><p><b><i>What Your Day Will Look Like:</i></b></p><p><br>
As a construction inspector, you&rsquo;ll monitor the contractor&rsquo;s on-site construction activities and inspect materials to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and other contract documents related to excavations, drainage facilities, road surfaces, and structures. You&rsquo;ll take field measurements of pay items, report the contractor&rsquo;s daily production rates, and schedule work and inspection phases with the contractor&rsquo;s superintendent and agency personnel. Provide support to various project procedures, particularly in documentation development for the final estimate package. The construction inspector reports to the project administrator.</p><p><b><i><br>
What You'll Do:</i></b></p><ul><li><br>
Inspect, observe, document, and verify work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans.</li><li>Utilize engineering inspection practices to perform complex mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.</li><li>Maintain inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.</li><li>Perform on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as required.</li></ul><p><b><i><br>
What You'll Need:</i></b></p><ul><li><br>
HS Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>3+ years of construction inspection experience.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.</li><li>Obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames.</li><li>Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.</li><li>This field job primarily operates in outdoor work environments that may include exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.</li><li>While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle. Sr. Construction Inspector

As a Roadway Design Engineer, you'll apply engineering principles and technical expertise to the design and analysis of transportation projects under the guidance of senior engineers. You&rsquo;ll contribute to roadway and multimodal design development, ensure compliance with design standards, and begin taking ownership of assigned tasks while advancing your professional judgment and project experience.</div>
<p><i>What You'll Do:</i></p>

<ul><li>Prepare and review design plans, calculations, and technical reports for roadway and multimodal projects.</li><li>Apply engineering standards and codes to ensure accuracy and compliance in design work.</li><li>Support coordination with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing agencies.</li><li>Perform design analyses, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs for assigned project components.</li><li>Assist in quality assurance reviews and respond to design review comments or field questions.</li></ul>
<p><i>What You'll Need:</i></p>

<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.</li><li>7-10+ years of transportation engineering experience with TxDOT projects.</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license.</li><li>Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.</li><li>Proposal writing/marketing experience is a plus.</li><li>This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.</li><li>While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
