Position Summary</div><div>
The Category Analyst (CA) is a foundational role that completes a wide variety of important analytical assignments for the Category Management (CM) and Sales teams. The CA demonstrates strong technical skills, the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, develop insights and presentations, execute space management projects and interact with retailers. The CA is a willing learner, quick study, and premier executioner of software packages and processes to cement Constellation&rsquo;s reputation as a dependable provider of CM solutions.</div><div></div><div>
Responsibilities</div><div>
Manages or Assists in Space Management Projects</div><ul><li>
Gather and combine complementary data from multiple sources. Manipulate, cleanse, analyze, and validate data.</li><li>
Interpret data, draw conclusions, and develop insights and presentations.</li><li>
Conducts space planning, drawing and validation of sets projects.</li><li>
Follow store clustering, customer segmentation, store data standards, and merchandising guidelines.</li><li>
Updates, manages, and refines scorecards and reports to measure results.</li><li>
Coordinate with IT and technical teams to ensure efficient use of technology.</li><li>
Engage with Category Leadership team, Sales, and retailer partners to plan, meet expectations and ensure successful completion of assortment and space planning projects.</li><li>
Present recommendations for space allocation/optimization and assortment planning.</li><li>
Provide input to development of consistent assortment and planogram standards across retailers and trade channels, ensure adherence to standards.</li><li>
Support space and assortment opportunities aligned with the strategic direction of Category Leadership activities.</li><li>
Train to become an expert user of space planning and assortment software, processes, and solutions.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Performs or Assists general analysis for assigned customer(s) or projects</div><ul><li>
Supports the CLM with the development of category insights, solutions, and presentations, including but not limited to new item introductions, package expansion/reduction, assortment analysis (pre/post), promotion effectiveness, seasonality, and post-promotion analysis.</li><li>
Prepares CM analysis and creates presentation slides for various meetings.</li><li>
Attend and participate in business planning meetings as necessary.</li><li>
Populates scorecards.</li><li>
Generates reports.</li><li>
Seeks clarification or understanding as necessary.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Minimum Qualifications</div><ul><li>
2+ years of analytical experience (may include an internship) that was focused on food and beverage retailing or merchandising, or sales experience from any industry.</li><li>
Ability to build strong relationships, initiate action and adjust to change are key attributes of this role.</li><li>
Proficient in the use of all category management software, concepts, analytical techniques; have an understanding of syndicated data.</li><li>
Strong PC proficiency, including extremely strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.</li><li>
Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree is required.</li><li>
Ability to travel by plane approximately 20%.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Physical Requirements/Work Environment</div><ul><li>
Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.</li><li>
Must have close vision, distant vision, ability to adjust focus, peripheral and color vision.</li><li>
Must be able to work in an office environment primarily but periodically required to work in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and lighting.</li><li>
Should be able to lift 40 lbs. on occasion.</li></ul><div></div><div>

The salary range for this role is:</div>
$80,400.00 - $120,600.00<div></div><div>
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee&rsquo;s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
