We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven <b>Purchasing Manager</b> to join our team at <b>Constellation Culinary Group team in New York, NY</b>. This role is essential to ensuring that our operation runs smoothly and efficiently by managing all aspects of procurement for the venue.</p><p>
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing food, beverages, equipment, and supplies needed to support events and daily operations. You&rsquo;ll work closely with the Director of Operations, Executive Chef &amp; culinary team, and operations leadership to ensure quality, cost control, and timely delivery of all goods.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What you'll be doing:</b></h2>

Oversee all purchasing activities for food, beverages, equipment, linens, and supplies.<br>
<ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure quality products at competitive pricing.</li><li>Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure cost-effective procurement.</li><li>Track inventory levels to avoid shortages and overstocking.</li><li>Coordinate with culinary, operations, and facilities teams to meet event and day-to-day needs.</li><li>Implement and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.</li><li>Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.</li><li>Monitor product quality and resolve any vendor issues quickly and professionally.</li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.</li><li>Prepare regular reports on purchasing metrics, budget performance, and vendor spend.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to meet event schedules.</li><li>Assist with audits and compliance requirements as needed.</li><li>Adhere to Elior&rsquo;s compliant vendor policy</li><li>Ensure purchasing team &amp; receivers are adhering to the policies and procedures related to product rotation, cleanliness, proper storage, purchasing product per shopping list and purchasing based on business levels.</li></ul></div></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What we're looking for:</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li><b>3+ years of experience</b> in purchasing or procurement, preferably in hospitality, catering, or food service.</li><li>
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.</li><li>
Excellent organizational and time management abilities with high attention to detail.</li><li>
Proficiency in purchasing systems, inventory tracking, and basic financial reporting.</li><li>
Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.</li><li>
Flexible schedule to accommodate business needs, including evenings or weekends as needed.</li><li>
Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality equipment is highly desirable.</li><li><b>
