Overview:The Corporate Accountant is a trusted partner in our organization, responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a portfolio of corporate entities (investment and operating level). This role is hands-on, analytical, and collaborative, working closely with colleagues across departments to support our company&rsquo;s growth, compliance, and strategic objectives. The Corporate Accountant takes ownership of assigned entities, proactively resolves issues, and contributes to a positive, team-oriented culture.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting &amp; Analysis<ul><li>Prepare and distribute timely, accurate financial reports for assigned entities.</li><li>Perform monthly journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.</li><li>Conduct cash flow analyses and variance reviews.</li><li>Coordinate with third-party management companies for relevant projects.</li><li>Provide actionable insights to senior management on entity performance.</li></ul>Financial Oversight<ul><li>Monitor exposures and communicate risks and opportunities to leadership.</li><li>Support loan covenant compliance and other financial requirements.</li><li>Assist with annual audits and tax return preparation, including year-end processes.</li><li>Develop, implement, and manage financial policies and controls in partnership with the accounting team.</li><li>Monitor cash needs and prepare capital calls and partner distributions.</li></ul>Accounts Receivable<ul><li>Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoice preparation and ledger reconciliation.</li><li>Ensure timely application of payments and accurate tracking of receipts.</li></ul>Accounts Payable<ul><li>Process invoices, review coding, and ensure timely payments.</li><li>Oversee tax and municipality filings to ensure compliance.</li></ul>Collaboration &amp; Support<ul><li>Respond to requests from management, lenders, and ownership.</li><li>Provide support to all departments as directed by senior management.</li><li>Participate in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives.</li><li>Perform other duties as needed to support organizational goals.</li></ul>Other duties may be assignedSupervisory Responsibilities<ul><li>This position may evolve into a supervisory role, overseeing the AP Clerk or other junior accounting staff, and supporting their professional development.</li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or related field (required); CPA/CMA preferred.</li><li>5&ndash;7 years of corporate-level accounting experience.</li><li>Experience with accounting software (Yardi preferred).</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to meeting deadlines.</li><li>Demonstrates initiative in learning new systems and driving process improvements.</li><li>Embodies company values: integrity, accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Experience in the real estate or investment sectors is preferred but not required.</li><li>Excellent communication.</li></ul>About Continuum PartnersContinuum Partners is a real estate development firm specializing in urban, mixed-use neighborhoods that create successful pedestrian environments and integrate with the surrounding urban fabric.
