<div><div><div><div><div><div><b>Position Summary:</b></div>
<div>The Surgical Technicians (ST) are professionals who assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients under the general direction of a registered nurse. The ST possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a surgeon&rsquo;s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. The ST establishes and maintains a sterile field and assures team maintains sterile environment while demonstrating and practicing sterile techniques. The ST will have a basic knowledge of instrumentation, prepare Operating Room with appropriate instrumentation, equipment and supplies, and will demonstrate correct and safe instrumentation passing and performs sponge, needle and instrument counts in a safe and accurate manner. The ST performs functions as noted above and generally with an assigned patient load, but ST is ready and willing to assist co-workers with ANY nursing support function and across any case load including other units that may not be the normal primary work assignment.</div>
<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<p><b>Education:</b></p>
<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program required.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Experience:</b></p>
<ul><li>Previous experience as a Surgical Technician in a hospital setting preferred.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Licensure/Certification/Registration:</b></p>
<ul><li>The Operating Room Surgical Technician will meet one of the following minimum requirements to be eligible for employment per SC State Law 44-7-380:
<ul><li>Certification from an accredited Surg Tech educational program and; Certified by the National Board of Surg technology within 90 calendar days from graduation date and; Evidence of a minimum of 15 hours CEU&rsquo;s annually (regardless if employed or not with CMC throughout the entire calendar year)</li>
<li>Certified as Surg Tech by the US Army, Navy, Air Force, marine Corps, Coast Guard or US Public Health Service and; Evidence of a minimum of 15 hours CEU&rsquo;s annually (regardless if employed or not with CMC throughout the entire calendar year.&acirc;&euro;&lsaquo;&acirc;&euro;&lsaquo;&acirc;&euro;&lsaquo;&acirc;&euro;&lsaquo;&acirc;&euro;&lsaquo;&acirc;&euro;&lsaquo;&acirc;&euro;&lsaquo;</li>

Surgical Technician

<div><div><div><b>Position Summary:</b></div>
<div>The Transport Specialist is responsible for safe, accurate, and timely transportation for Conway Medical Center. The Transport Specialist is responsible for transportation needs during the day, evening, occasional nights, and weekends.

<div></div><div><b><i>Qualifications:</i></b></div>
<div></div><div><b>Education:</b></div>
 <ul><li><div>High school diploma or equivalent required.</div>
</li><li><div>May substitute high school diploma for ten (10) years of Security Guard experience.</div>
</li></ul><div><b>Experience</b></div>
<ul><li><div>Previous law enforcement, security, or public safety experience preferred.
</div></li><li><div>Clear driving record for a minimum of ten (10) years required.
</div>
</li></ul><div></div><div><b>Licensure/Certification/Registration</b></div>
<ul><li><div>South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) certification as South Carolina Certified Private Security Officer required.</div>
</li><li><div>Valid South Carolina Driver&rsquo;s License required.

</li></ul><div></div><div><b><i>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</i></b></div>
<ul><li><div>Assist the CMC Ortho teams&rsquo; support of Coastal Carolina University athletics.
</div></li><li><div>Comply with schedules and manage time effectively for pick up and drop off.
</div></li><li><div>Ensure safe operation by obeying state laws and regulations, considering potential delays and weather conditions.
</div></li><li><div>Knowledge of traffic patterns and local roads.
</div></li><li><div>Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.
</div></li><li><div>Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, and department heads.</div>
</li><li><div>Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.</div>
</li><li><div>Consistently display effective verbal communication skills.</div>
</li><li><div>Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.</div>
</li><li><div>Regularly exercise independent judgement.</div>
