Position Summary:The Quality Informatics Analyst (QIA) functions as the clinical resource, educator, consultant and Quality/ Meaningful Use leader for Conway Medical Center (CMC) information systems. Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation, and training of information system projects to improve the end user experience.Qualifications:Education:<ul><li>Associate degree in Allied Health field/Information Systems, or closely related field required.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a closely related field preferred.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>A minimum of five (5) years&rsquo; clinical experience required.</li><li>A minimum of 1-year specific Cerner support/troubleshooting experience required.</li><li>Experience with a variety of clinical software systems in acute care setting and/or ambulatory setting preferred.</li><li>Experience specifically working as an Informatics Specialist /Support Analyst preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of program development and administration preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of leadership, creativity, teaching, education, and group dynamics preferred.</li></ul>Licensure/Certification/Registration<ul><li>None</li></ul>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Function as an internal consultant and resource to acute care and ambulatory practice personnel and will provide direction and education for all clinical information systems initiatives in accordance with the strategic objectives of CMC.</li><li>Will continually monitor and evaluate opportunities for technical innovations and enhancements, ensuring that the applications and systems utilized are consistent with professional standards of best clinical practice.</li><li>Interpret, modify, analyze and design clinical systems, data, and information as well as implement applications, tools, processes, and structures that assist with the management of data in the provision of health care.</li><li>Coordinate with Information Systems team (IS) to identify, select and maintain equipment needed for optimal utilization of the clinical electronic systems, policy development and monitoring of process changes.</li><li>Participate in department operational and clinical committees in relation to clinical system design as directed by manager.</li><li>Role includes management of complex interactions between applications being implemented and various patient care processes and workflows.</li><li>Prepare training sessions and assist in making oral and written presentations to project teams and management.</li><li>Continuously seek education and training for new guidelines and requirements to keep up to date with EMR standards, quality measures including Meaningful Use, CMS standards, MIPs measures, and best practices in the healthcare industry.</li><li>Utilize positive collegial collaboration skills, including healthy problem solving and promoting a healthy environment for staff to speak up and work together.</li><li>Work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, allied health professionals, physicians, department heads, and members of executive leadership.</li><li>Effectively utilize strong organizational skills and consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Display core customer service skills.</li><li>Completes other duties as assigned by department leadership.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Family leave</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person

The AIA is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation and training of information system requirements to improve the patient care process. the overall patient experience.QualificationsEducation:<ul><li>Associates degree in Allied Health field/Information Systems required.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Informatics /Healthcare Management preferred.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>A minimum of five (5) years' health care experience required.</li><li>Experience with a variety of clinical software systems in acute care setting and/or ambulatory setting preferred.
