 CORA&rsquo;s Community Services Division is currently recruiting for an
 
 Assistant Preschool Teacher
 
 to join our Early Years Program at our Huntington Mills location
 
 
 
 This is a full-time, on-site position
 
 
 
 
 Associate&rsquo;s Degree In ECE Or CDA Preferred
 
 
 
 
 Minimum starting salary - $16.00 - $17.00/hour

 In addition, as an
 
 Assistant Preschool Teacher
 
 your duties will include:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assisting the Lead Teacher in implementing educational lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, in conjunction with the OCDEL-approved curriculum.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participating in individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Adhering to schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards, and safety and security of children
 </li>
 <li>
 Helping to monitor growth and development of children based on established learning objectives using age-appropriate assessment tools
 </li>
 <li>
 Establishing positive relationships with parents and maintaining frequent communication about student's growth and progress through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
 </li>
 <li>
 Participating collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the Early Years program
 </li>
 <li>
 Helping with center-wide events, food program, preparation for assessments and audits, and other projects or tasks as assigned
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Minimum Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 HS diploma with two years of documented childcare experience. Must be willing to enroll in CDA or AA program in ECE, upon hire.
 </li>
 <li>
 2+ years&rsquo; verifiable experience working with an early childhood population
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with Keystone STARS standards and/or DHS regulations preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification required &ndash; CORA will pay for certification if hired without
 </li>
 <li>
 Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain positive, productive working relationships within CORA as well as with children and their families
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated passion for engaging and teaching and supporting children
 </li>
 <li>
 Good computer skills and working knowledge of Office 365 applications
