The Technology Support Specialist coordinates the secure, productive, and effective use of technology in the facility. They provide hardware and software technical support to users of personal computers and associated equipment. Also they will coordinate technology services, maintenance, and training throughout the facility.
<ul><li>Ensure information technology resources (computer hardware, network and operating systems software and telecommunications hardware) function properly and are maintained in good operating condition.</li><li>
Provide hardware and software technical support to users of personal computers and associated equipment.</li><li>
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on personal computers and related equipment. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, LAN and WAN equipment, PC's, laptops, telecom equipment, key control devices, various software and peripherals.</li><li>
Analyze the need for new computer equipment; analyzes equipment for quality, compatibility, reliability and suitability to the institution&rsquo;s needs.</li><li>
Provide configuration requirements for new computer acquisitions, recommends methods of using existing equipment to satisfy new requirements and performs benchmark tests of proposed new equipment. Ensure compliance with licensing agreements.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Computer Science or related technology field is required.</li><li>

<ul><li>Supervise caseload of residents/inmates to ensure program requirements are being met. Evaluate programming progress and participates in resident/inmate progress meetings. Conducts assessments.</li><li>
Ensure accountability of residents/inmates in the community via phone calls, onsite checks, and verification of submitted documentation and requests.</li><li>
Review and oversees resident/inmate financial obligations.</li><li>
Review and evaluates resident/inmate behavior. Determines if disciplinary measures are needed.</li><li>
Ensure resident/inmate physical and electronic file is up-to-date and contains all relevant and pertinent information.</li><li>

Maintain a caseload of inmates with the primary purpose of resolving daily living issues before they expand into significant incidents.

Conduct one-on-one meetings with inmates regarding grievance or potential grievance matters and resolve the situation within the framework of policy.</li><li>

Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with institution departments built on respect that supports problem solving.</li></ul><div>
