 <div>The Warehouse/Commissary Worker assists with all aspects of the warehouse and/or commissary functions, to include working with and directing teams of inmate/resident workers. Receives, stores and inventories stock, supplies and equipment utilized in the on-going operation of the commissary and for general facility operations.</div><ul><li>
Under the direction of the supervisor, performs accurate and timely receipt, routing and storage of goods and cleaning chemicals received in accordance with appropriate sanitation standards and applicable codes. Prepares materials for shipment, as required.</li><li>
Conducts commissary sales transactions, processing inmate/resident order forms, performs data entry, verifies and delivers pulled orders to the appropriate inmate.
</li><li>Maintains up-to-date facility and warehouse inventories of all furniture, equipment and supplies. Monitors commissary goods for sale, to sustain minimum and maximum inventory levels as necessary.</li><li>
Accurately and timely prepares a variety of records and reports as required. Creates and maintains files in an organized manner, to include sorting, labeling, filing and retrieving. Maintains confidentiality and security of records.</li><li>
Communicates effectively with administration, staff, inmates/residents, and visitors, particularly in situations requiring tact, diplomacy, understanding, fairness, firmness and good judgment. This includes giving information, instructions and directions in accordance with policy and procedure.</li><li>
Conducts counts of inmates/residents working in the area, controlling access to equipment and supplies, and controlling the introduction of contraband items into the facility living areas through proper search procedures.
</li><li>Provides supervision and direction for assigned inmates/residents in the performance of their duties. Escorts inmates/residents or coordinates the movement of inmates/residents to and from different areas.</li></ul><div>
Qualifications:
</div><ul><li>High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.</li><li>
 One year of experience in warehouse/commissary operation, including the physical control and movement of inventory is preferred.</li><li>
 Must be able to operate hand truck, forklift and/or pallet jacks.
</li><li>A valid driver's license is required.</li><li>
Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Warehouse/Commissary Worker

We are currently seeking a Security Monitor I, Community Corrections who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in a residential setting. The Security Monitor I, Community Corrections is responsible for the supervision of the facility population including but not limited to safety, security and facility sanitation. This role provides for the care, custody and control of residents and establishes a safe environment for the facility, staff, visitors and residents.
<ul><li>Monitor resident population and reports any suspicious activities or violations of policy, procedures, or regulations by residents or other individuals.</li><li>
Conduct resident counts, searches, room inspections, and vehicle searches as required. Conduct drug and alcohol testing as needed or as directed by facility administration.</li><li>
Process residents for intake/discharge in accordance with policies and procedures.</li><li>
Monitor resident worker activities, provides necessary instruction, and applies standards and procedures for the completion and quality of work performed by residents, where applicable.</li><li>
Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disasters to include administering basic emergency medical aid and CPR, physically removing people away from dangerous situations, and securing and evacuating people from confined areas.</li><li>
Distribute food plates during late meal service.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.</li><li>
California Adult Corrections Officer Core Course certification is preferred.
</li><li>Must complete the STC CORE course within one year of hire date or transfer to the position.</li><li>
Work experience in the operations of a correctional facility is preferred.</li><li>
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and apply problem solving techniques to complex issues.
</li><li>Must be available to work any hours, any shift.</li><li>
Must complete pre-service and other training programs as required.</li><li>
A valid driver license is preferred.</li><li>

Security Monitor I

The Senior Correctional Officer assists in the supervision of the administrative and operational security activities in a correctional facility. They directly supervises Correctional Officers assigned to the shift. They also provide for the protection of each inmate/resident and the preservation of each inmate&rsquo;s/ resident&rsquo;s legal rights.<ul><li>
Provide general supervision of Correctional Officers and inmates/residents on the shift in the performance of their duties and evaluate as prescribed by the facility and corporate policy.</li><li>
Conduct inspections of all housing and general use areas to ensure that proper standards, facility operating procedures and corporate guidelines of security, health, safety, sanitation and welfare are maintained; direct staff and inmate/resident resources to correct problems detected.</li><li>
Assist in supervising the internal and external security of the facility; routinely inspect posts to observe alertness of personnel and to confirm security is properly maintained at all times.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
</li><li>Two years experience in a criminal justice field, which preferably includes one year in a supervisory capacity.</li><li>
Additional education may be substituted for the experience on a year-for-year basis.</li><li>
Completion of basic pre-service officer training and, where applicable, be a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment.</li><li>
A valid driver's license is required.</li><li>
Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
