Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Project Interior Designer to join the firm as part of our Workplace Interiors Market Sector in our Houston office location. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Coordinate all phases of the design process in full life cycle projects
</li><li>Generate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a project</li><li>
Translate concepts and information into images</li><li>
Execute the process of preparing and completing usable construction document detailing solutions</li><li>
Coordinate the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment</li><li>
Manage contract administration responsibilities</li><li>
Assist with creation and management of project schedules</li><li>
Develop &amp; present appropriate technical solutions to stakeholders</li><li>
Assist with leading project studio team members, leveraging strengths, and providing mentorship</li><li>
Work proactively to resolve issues that arise between project, design, and technical objectives of the project, in coordination with Project Manager</li><li>
Execute coordination and integration of architectural and consultant documents</li><li>
Seek innovation in design solutions in an ongoing spirit of curiosity and increased project performance</li><li>
Demonstrate understanding of appropriate industry standards and construction practice</li><li>
Apply knowledge of construction methods and timelines</li><li>
Maintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products</li><li>
Attend and conduct presentations

Qualifications:
<ul><li>This role is an in-office position</li><li>
Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent</li><li>
5+ years of experience in commercial design; Workplace experience strongly preferred</li><li>
Display strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailing</li><li>
Revit proficiency and technical excellence</li><li>
Thorough understanding of how a drawing set goes together</li><li>
Acumen for how things are built and constructability, and the ability to apply that knowledge to support the project design and budget</li><li>
General understanding of building and accessibility codes</li><li>
Experience coordinating with a variety of consultants and contractors</li><li>
Interest in sustainable design</li><li>
Professional registration</li><li>
Effective organizational and communication skills</li><li>
Attention to detail</li><li>
Flexible attitude</li><li>
Ability to collaborate in a diverse project team environment</li><li>
Demonstrated experience coordinating and leading projects teams

Generate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a project</li><li>
Foster a productive partnership with the client and project delivery team through regular communication and collaboration
</li><li>Utilize appropriate software at a proficient level to create graphics and presentation materials</li><li>
Support the integration of the design process with other workflows and project tasks</li><li>
Collaborate with project teams serving as concept champions throughout the project</li><li>
Execute coordination and integration of architectural and consultant documents</li><li>
Apply knowledge of construction methods and timelines</li><li>
Maintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products</li><li>
Contribute to the selection of materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment</li><li>
Actively contribute to the production of major components of a thorough set of construction documents</li><li>
Assist with contract administration responsibilities</li><li>
Conduct field verification and site visits as needed</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent</li><li>
3+ years of experience in commercial design; Workplace experience strongly preferred</li><li>
Holds state registration for interior design or process already started</li><li>

Revit proficiency and technical excellence</li><li>
Interest in sustainable design
</li><li>Professional registration or anticipation of registration</li><li>
Strong organizational and communication skills</li><li>
