Responsibilities include providing counsel on legal issues impacting the operations of the Bank. Assist General Counsel with asset recovery through litigation including collections actions, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, bankruptcy, and loan workouts. Draft legal documents, negotiate with opposing counsel, and attend hearings. Work as a team with outside attorneys as necessary. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of laws and legal requirements that may impact the Bank.</p><p></p><p><br>
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, a current license to practice law in the state of Nebraska, and have one to three years of licensed practice of law experience, preferably with a financial intuition. Exposure to commercial transactions, litigation, bankruptcy, commercial loan documentation, acquisitions and experience in providing legal advice and handling litigation related to financial institution experience preferred but not required.</p><p></p><p><br>
