Role Purpose
 
The Global Mobility Specialist plays a key role in shaping and delivering high-impact mobility solutions by providing consultative support and data-driven insights. This role partners closely with HR and business leaders to guide relocation decisions, enhance employee experience, and continuously improve mobility strategies and programs.
 
Key Responsibilities
 Administer U.S. domestic relocation programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and delivering a high level of customer service

 Oversee relocation request processes within vendor systems and collaborate with vendors to ensure effective execution

Role Purpose
 
Corning Optical Communications (COC) is seeking a Federal Account Manager to lead strategic sales growth within key federal government accounts across the United States. The Digital & IT Rotational Development Program (DITRDP) is a two-year immersive development program that gives participants the opportunity to explore D&IT, contribute to meaningful work, and build a strong foundation for a long-term career at Corning. Purpose: 
Responsible for the design, development, programming, implementation, and optimization of control systems supporting Corning’s cable manufacturing processes. This role provides controls and electrical engineering expertise to improve product, process, and equipment performance, support innovation, and enable new product introduction within the plant. It requires advanced technical leadership in troubleshooting complex automation issues, integrating systems, and improving equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. The position also leads projects that drive root cause understanding, cost reduction, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, while mentoring junior team members and maintaining awareness of emerging technologies and intellectual property developed through project work.
 
Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Provides leadership in problem solving, and technical expertise, to ensure timely resolution of short-term process and equipment issues, and higher level troubleshooting</li>
<li>Design, create, modify, and implement robust, cost effective automation and process machine control systems (i.e., Allen Bradley PLC programs) for our fiber optic cable production plant.</li>
<li>Mentor and train junior controls engineers</li>
<li>Manage the controls engineering scope of process improvement, capital expansion, and obsolescence mitigation projects.</li>
<li>Interface with external system integrators to successfully deliver fully integrated process equipment systems to Corning’s facility.</li>
</ul>
Participate in all phases of the project including design, fabrication, off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel, and technology transfer. Independently follow construction of equipment in vendors’ facilities.

<li>Capable of working closely with other engineers, maintenance, operations and other plant and division functions to perform line troubleshooting and execute project assignments to completion in a team based environment with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Participate in an on call rotation, providing support during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure continuous coverage and timely response to critical issues.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>4+ years manufacturing experience working with HMI / SCADA systems programming: PLCs / HMIs / VFDs controlling process and automation equipment in a plant environment including higher level communications protocols (e.g, ; Allen Bradley ControlLogix v20 systems or higher), and the ability to generate, debug and modify PLC code – ladder logic, structured text and function block diagram.</li>
<li>Possess strong fundamental understanding of electrical design practices, machine/motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, VFD and Servo programming, communication protocols, and practical application, and be able to generate and interpret electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical 2021 for systems design including control panel layouts, component documentation, and schematics to prepare initial CAD design layouts of both complete electrical controls systems and control sub-sections, as well as review electrical drawing packages for conformance to Corning standards.</li>
<li>Ensure proactive safety measures for all equipment and processes. Seeks to identify and correct potential safety or environmental issues using NEC, NFPA, and other pertinent safety codes. Ensure safety procedures, such as Lock-Out Tag-Out, are always followed .</li>

Key Responsibilities

Senior Systems Engineer, Co-Packaged Optics (m/f/d)
 
Role Purpose
 
The Senior Systems Engineer, Co-Packaged Optics is responsible for working directly with our customers and ecosystem partners to understand their product challenges, create system-level solutions, translate those solutions into product requirements, and drive design-in of Corning's Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) products. The role combines deep technical expertise in semiconductor manufacturing and photonic connectivity with a strong customer-facing orientation, serving as the technical interface between Corning R&D, program management and the business team to shape the future of AI infrastructure in hyperscale data centers.
 
This is a highly visible role that combines deep systems expertise with strong communication skills to guide our customers from early architecture discussions through design-in and qualification to serial production, bridging internal engineering teams and our customers to solve deployment challenges and influencing the CPO roadmap based on direct customer insight.
 
Key Responsibilities
 Serve as a primary technical point of contact for strategic customers and ecosystem partners throughout the CPO product lifecycle - from early architecture discussions through design-in, qualification, and deployment
 Lead product and system ideation with our customers and partners, with the goal of addressing identified needs through differentiated product offerings
 Translate customer requirements into internal product specifications, ensuring alignment between external needs and Corning's R&D and product development capabilities.
 Conduct feasibility studies and develop initial design concepts to be transferred to R&D
 Establish ongoing and trusting relationships with technical counterparts amongst our primary customers and partners within the CPO ecosystem.
 Develop a deep understanding of customer applications, the systems in which they operate, and how Corning products function in these applications.
 Lead technical deep-dive sessions, architecture workshops, and design reviews with customer engineering teams, including hyperscaler network architects and ASIC/platform engineers.
 Perform system level thermo-mechanical simulations to provide design recommendations
 Deliver compelling technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements
 Participate in mapping out market trends and technology roadmaps, identifying key gaps and recommendations in terms of both technology capabilities and new products.
 In close collaboration with PLM and Marketing, help refine Corning's value proposition in the context of a deep understanding of the applications and use cases of our CPO solutions
 Collaborate with ASIC partners, packaging houses, laser vendors, and connector suppliers as well as hardware providers to build understanding of next generation requirements
 Act as the voice of the customer inside Corning, driving requirement clarity, feature prioritization, and responsiveness to field feedback.
 Establish ongoing and trusting relationships with technical counterparts amongst our primary customers and partners within the CPO ecosystem.
 
Experiences/Education - Required
 Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physics, Electrical, Optical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent fields.
 7+ years of experience in an applications, systems, or product development function, with meaningful time in a customer-facing technical role (Systems Engineer, Applications Engineer, Scientist, or Solutions Architect).
 Participation in complex projects and contribution to multi-functional teams in a fast-paced competitive environment.
 
Required Skills
 
Deep understanding of one or more of the following: optics, glass as a material, optical fiber and communications, Silicon Photonics, semiconductor packaging, semiconductor metrology, electronic hardware design and manufacturing.
 Ease with frequent customer engagements at a technical level, with the ability to comprehend technical needs and convey effective value propositions.
 Ability to collaborate across functional and geographical boundaries to solve problems and develop solutions.
 Conceptualize complex specification and application requirements and articulate to internal/external stakeholders to initiate new product development or implement product changes.
 Mobilize and influence people within and outside the organization to meet objectives.
 Garner trust and lead collaborative work efforts, both internally and externally, across multiple time zones.
 
Desired Skills
 Work experience in PLM, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, and/or Product Development in a fast-paced OEM context.
 +3 years of industrial experience.
 Systems-level knowledge of CPO architectures, including photonic engines, external laser sources (ELS/ELSFP), fiber attach, ASIC integration and advanced packaging.
 Direct experience deploying CPO, NPO, LPO, or advanced pluggable optics in production or pre-production environments.
 Familiarity with AI/ML fabric architectures (scale-up / scale-out), including GPU/XPU cluster designs and optical I/O requirements.
