The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of operational and customer service activities within the Cosentino Center, including material handling (shipping / receiving), inventory management, logistics &amp; delivery, warehouse operations, and team leadership. The role ensures cost-efficient, safe, and high-quality operations that support customer satisfaction and financial performance.</div></div></div><div><div><div><b>
What you will do</b></div>
</div><div><div><b>
Operational Excellence &amp; Strategy
</b></div><ul><li>Drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the Cosentino Center.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Define and implement optimal center layout, workflows, material flow, and operations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identify root causes of issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul><br>

Logistics &amp; Delivery Management</b></div>
<ul><li>Plan and maintain daily delivery schedules with optimal routing and capacity utilization.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Oversee external transport providers and, where applicable, coordinate in-house fleet management.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure on-time, damage-free deliveries and manage logistics exceptions and customer problem resolution.</li></ul><br>

Inventory &amp; Quality Control</b></div>
<ul><li>Oversee inbound/outbound quality inspections, damage control, and returns handling.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure inventory accuracy via cycle counts, reconciliation, shrinkage control.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Develop loss prevention strategies and controls.</li></ul><br>

Financial Accountability &amp; Cost Control</b></div>
<ul><li>Own the operational P&amp;L: budget, cost control, variance analysis, and cost optimization.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitor operational cost drivers (labor, transport, utilities, equipment).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Coordinate with Sales Admins on AR/AP tasks as needed.</li></ul><br>

Health, Safety &amp; Compliance</b></div>
<ul><li>Ensure compliance with local workplace health &amp; safety laws, policies, and regulations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Lead safety training, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain and enforce SOPs, Standard Work, Job Safety Analyses, and safety culture.</li></ul><br>

Team Leadership &amp; Development</b></div>
<ul><li>Coach, develop, and evaluate operations, warehouse, and administrative staff.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Set performance goals, conduct yearly performance reviews, and drive accountability.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Promote a collaborative and high-performance team culture.</li></ul><br>

<div><b>
Cross-Functional Alignment &amp; Stakeholder Management</b></div>
<ul><li>Liaise with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, HR, and Finance to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Escalate issues proactively, align on service commitments, and support business growth.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide operational input into sales forecasts, capacity planning, and business strategy.</li></ul><br>

Support / Backup (as required)</b></div>
<ul><li>In exceptional situations, assist with order entry, customer escalations, or warehouse activities to ensure operations continuity.</li></ul>

What you need to succeed</b></div>
</div><div><div><b>
Education
</b></div><ul><li>Preferred: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Minimum: Diploma or equivalent experience in operations / logistics environment.</li></ul><br>
<div></div>
<div><b>
Work experience</b></div>
<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of operations / logistics / warehouse management experience (or equivalent)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing diverse operations (warehouse, delivery, customer service)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Experience with ERP systems (SAP or alternatives) and data analysis</li></ul>
<ul><li>Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with expectations for continuous improvement</li></ul>
<ul><li>Experience in operating overhead cranes and forklifts</li></ul>
<ul><li>Working knowledge of relevant regulatory / safety standards in your jurisdiction</li></ul><br>

Technical / Tools / Systems</b></div>
<ul><li>Proficiency in SAP (or equivalent ERP), MS Excel / data tools</li></ul>
<ul><li>Familiarity with route planning tools, logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS)</li></ul>
