We are looking for a Legal Assistant to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in support of firm attorneys. You will work under the supervision of attorneys in a dynamic office with a busy litigation caseload. The goal is to enable the attorneys to better represent clients, and promote an organized and efficient office with respect to case management and administrative requirements.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide administrative support to firm attorneys</li><li>Answer phone calls, emails, draft letters, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate</li><li>Perform initial screening of clients</li><li>Organize and file case documents in a timely and accurate manner</li><li>File pleadings with Superior and Probate Courts</li><li>Prepare Retainer Agreements</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in English</li><li>Outstanding time management, organizational and typing skills</li><li>Ability to multitask and be comfortable dealing with a diverse group of people</li><li>Knowledge of MS 365 Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, etc)</li><li>Working knowledge of Family Law Software, and TimeSlips legal billing software is a plus</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
