<div>The Country Inn &amp; Suites of Mankato is seeking customer focused individuals who enjoy who enjoy providing excellent guest service. The Bartender&rsquo;s primary responsibility is to uphold the restaurant&rsquo;s high standards of excellence by providing the highest quality of service to guests. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner. The Bartender is also responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting bar atmosphere while adhering to quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<div><ul><li>Assists all guests in a professional and courteous manner.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs job duties and responsibilities in a cost-effective manner and within budgetary guidelines.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Prepares beverages according to restaurant standards while adhering to state and local liquor laws. Maintains complete knowledge of drink recipes and brands of liquors and wines served.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Consistently checks guests&rsquo; identification and monitors guest consumption to ensure appropriate levels of alcohol are being dispensed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Follows all customer service, adult beverage and cash handling policies and procedures.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintains a clean and safe work area and handles all beverages in compliance with restaurant standards as well as local, state and federal regulations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Plans and prepares for the following day by checking inventory of supplies, taking action as necessary to ensure adequate quantity and quality of products for the following day.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Understands and applies all restaurant safety and security procedures as required to maintain a safe and secure environment for associates and guests.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Keeps supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

PHYSICAL DEMANDS ANALYSIS

The Bartender works primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. This position requires continuous standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending and reaching throughout the entire shift. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping, working with sharp objects (knives), exposure to standard cleaning chemicals, high noise volumes and interacting with intoxicated guests. All restaurant employees are required to wear rubber-soled shoes and must follow proper safety precautions at all times to avoid injuries.
