 The Health and Human Services Agency, Behavioral Health Services Division is currently seeking qualified candidates for Nutritionist at Edgemoor Distinct Part Skilled Nursing Facility. Incumbents are responsible for resident nutrition assessment, organizing, planning, and administering nutrition programs to promote health and control diseases as well as provide technical, educational, consultative, and administrative nutrition related services.

 The current vacancies are at the Edgemoor Distinct Part-Skilled Nursing Facility (DP/SNF) located in San Diego's East County suburb of Santee, 655 Park Center Drive, Santee, CA 92071; however, the list established from this recruitment may also be used to fill future vacancies in other departments.

 The Edgemoor Distinct Part Skilled Nursing Facility provides 24-hour long term skilled nursing care for individuals having complex medical needs who require specialized interventions from highly trained staff. It is a FIVE STAR facility, having received this highest rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Edgemoor has been named yearly as one of the top nursing facilities in the USA by US News and World Report since 2012.  Minimum Qualifications
 
 
 
 Education, training, and/or experience that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above. Examples of qualifying education/experience:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in nutrition science or dietetics, AND, two (2) years experience in hospital or community nutrition; OR,
 </li>
 <li>
 A master's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in public health nutrition sciences.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 NOTE:
 
 Registration as a dietitian with the American Dietetic Association (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics)/Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
 
 
 A valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI) is required at the time of employment.

 Condition of Employment

 employment list based upon scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment application and supplemental application questionnaire.
