<div>Advocate Driver Managers are the lifeline of our most valuable assets, our professional drivers. They are responsible for assisting in a variety of driver needs but also managing and directing the work of professional drivers. Advocate Driver Managers are required to take actions or make recommendations with respect to discipline, terminations, and other changes of a driver&rsquo;s employment status. This role is pivotal in driving the performance and professionalism of our fleet, ensuring drivers meet and exceed operational standards.

Responsibilities
<ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for professional drivers, communicating via phone, messaging, and in-person meetings to resolve issues and support operational success.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Manage all driver interactions, coaching and documenting any issues.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide corrective counseling and performance coaching to professional drivers as needed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Be available for efficient communication with drivers, and in-house personnel.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Create a culture of safety by keeping a safety-first attitude.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Communicate and establish expectations for performance, conduct, and safety, and provide ongoing feedback for professional drivers.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain accurate, swift information in all programs.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Coordinate and manage the Driver of the Month recognition program to promote performance and morale.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure all assigned drivers maintain valid and appropriate endorsements and credentials.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitor and manage idle time performance, ensuring assigned fleet meets or exceeds established targets.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Facilitate smooth and accurate shift handoffs to ensure continuity of fleet operations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Conduct Idelic calls to review safety and performance metrics with drivers.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Lead welcome meetings with newly assigned drivers to ensure a smooth onboarding process.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Manage the unassigned driver sheet to help professional drivers maximize available mileage opportunities.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Participate in and conduct safety coaching sessions with professional drivers to reinforce a culture of safety.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitor Drivewyse speeding alerts to ensure compliance with safety standards and protect drivers and</li></ul>

other motorists.
<ul><li>Track and analyze CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) scores, striving for continuous improvement in safety performance.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attend and actively participate in safety meetings to stay informed and contribute to fleet safety initiatives.</li></ul>

Education/Experience
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business administration, supply chain management or similar field required. 1 year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of education required.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Previous transportation industry experience required</li></ul>

Advocate Driver Manager

<div>The Fleet Manager is a key operations link between the organization, drivers, and customers. The Fleet Manger coaches and mentors a group of experienced drivers and achieves specific customer service and key company goals. The Fleet Manager will coordinate and communicate with customers related to the fleet activity to maximize utilization of drivers and company assets. This is an entry-level manager position managing an operation(s) limited in scope.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Manage Dedicated Fleet of Professional Drivers</li>
<li>Assist in Managing messaging for overall operations</li>
<li>Responsible for Service Failures (Driver, Dispatch, Planning), Communication, Equipment, Utilization, Driver Turnover, Fuel (MPG, out of network, idle time of equipment, out of route miles), Safety (Safety Initiative, Accidents, Worker&rsquo;s Comp, Random Drug), Maintenance (PM Services, Equipment Inspections)</li>
<li>Track and trace the trucks in the morning and through the day.</li>
<li>Track and manage home time requests in accordance with accounts expectations.</li>
<li>⁠Maintain positive and productive communication with drivers to deliver on time, prevent service failures, and reduce turnover.</li>
<li>Receive ETAs and PTAs and manage throughout the day.</li>
<li>Receive confirmations of load assignments.</li>
<li>Develop an effective working relationship with assigned professional drivers and understand the needs and performance of each professional driver.</li>
<li>Communicate and establish expectations for performance, conduct, and safety, and provide ongoing feedback for the professional driver.</li>
<li>Monitor and trace loads so that follow up can be made to customers regarding late pickups and or deliveries, as well as any other load changes that may occur.</li>
<li>Work with other internal departments to resolve customer or company issues when necessary.</li>
<li>Follow established procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.</li>
<li>Manage Driver PM Schedules for both tractor and trailers</li>
<li>Assist drivers with payroll needs, Advances, Fuel issues</li>
<li>Respond to all driver messages in a timely manner</li>
<li>Accurately update AS400 and/or TMW data</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
</li><li>Must be able to effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and electronically
</li><li>Knowledge of DOT regulations and Driver HOS necessary
</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced and always changing environment
</li><li>Ability to manage people effectively</li>
<li>Ability to be self-motivated and work unsupervised</li>

Education/Experience
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent required
</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or other closely related field is preferred
</li><li>AS400 and/or TMW experience is preferred but not required
</li><li>0-3 Years Management Experience or other similar leadership role
</li><li>Transportation experience preferred</li>
