<div><p>Medical Technician/Medical Lab Technician - Full Time</p><p>
Must be skilled in the disciplines of hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, serology, and blood bank in order to obtain report data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in an accurate, precise, timely, and responsible manner. Must be proficient in collecting and processing specimens for laboratory analysis. Must have a working knowledge of maintenance and quality control for laboratory instrumentation and procedures. Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of supplies. Responsible for supporting medical professionals in research, testing and laboratory maintenance. Their duties include recording data, sterilizing equipment and ordering and organizing supplies.</p><ul><li>
Must have Certification with American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)</li></ul><p>
Position: Full Time; Health, Dental + Vision Insurance; PTO/STO; 401(A); Short Term/Long Term Disability; 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.</p><p>
</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Duties and responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested</li><li>
Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report</li><li>
Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results</li><li>
Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results</li><li>
Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample</li><li>
Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment</li><li>
Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs</li><li>
Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field</li></ul></div>
