As a Mechanical Project Sales professional, you will:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project/Sales Engineer to prospect, qualify, design, propose, and sell mechanical projects and services. This role focuses on HVAC/R, air distribution system cleaning, air balancing, thermography, energy solutions, indoor air quality, and related services. The Project/Sales Engineer will work closely with the Sales Team and Operations Group to ensure seamless project execution and long-term client satisfaction.

Note: This is not an estimating position pursuing the bid market. Instead, this role emphasizes building relationships with existing businesses and accounts while generating proposals for equipment replacement, renovation, and design-build opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Prospect, qualify, and develop new and existing accounts.</li>
<li>Survey building systems, interpret drawings, and evaluate equipment conditions.</li>
<li>Perform load calculations; size piping and ductwork; and select appropriate equipment.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for repair, replacement, or modification of existing systems.</li>
<li>Prepare and present proposals for equipment replacement, renovations, and design-build projects.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time, and within budget.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.</li>
<li>Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and energy-efficient solutions.</li></ul> 


Job Skills &amp; Knowledge

Mechanical Systems
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems.</li>
<li>Ability to design piping and duct systems.</li>
<li>Field experience installing commercial HVAC equipment.</li>
</ul>
Technical Expertise
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, wiring, and automatic control systems.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment conditions, job conditions, and potential issues.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>10+ years of experience in mechanical project sales or a related field.</li>
<li>Proven ability to design and oversee HVAC piping and ductwork systems.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.</li>
<li>Track record of developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.</li>
<li>Innovative mindset with the ability to enhance sales and marketing strategies.</li>
</ul>
Compensation &amp; Benefits
<ul>
<li>Compensation: $95,000 &ndash; $115,000 (plus sales commission)</li>
<li>Territory: Williamsburg / Hampton Roads area</li>
