 This position collaborates cross-functionally with R&amp;D, QA, and Regulatory Affairs, while mentoring junior scientists and driving scientific advancement, operational efficiency, and product quality.
 
 
 
 How You Would Contribute:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Design, develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods to support product development and routine testing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoot complex methods and implement continuous improvements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with R&amp;D for formulation support, process troubleshooting, and method transfer.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead technical investigations, OOS root cause analysis, and CAPA resolution.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide hands-on training and mentorship to chemists and method execution, validation principles, and data interpretation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all work complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to audit readiness and documentation accuracy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Draft scientific publications, validation protocols, and technical reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Represent the company at conferences and in industry working groups (e.g., AOAC, USP, multi-lab studies).
 </li>

 Propose projects that align with the business need and management objectives.
 </li>

 As our Food Scientist you will be responsible for leading meat product development (beef, pork, poultry), plant-based protein, and hummus/dips/spreads product development, develop new formulas, processing procedures and specifications for new products, product enhancements and cost reductions.
 
 
 
 What You Will Be Doing&hellip;
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead multiple development projects with an emphasis on meat protein, plant-based protein and sauces, both new products and improvements of current products.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assume technical leadership of assigned projects from concept development through successful commercialization. Recommend new product concepts to take to development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigate product and process challenges, provide creative solutions, and solve challenges in development and commercialization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work cross functionally (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Purchasing) to determine equipment, materials and processes necessary to produce products to maximize capacity and optimize quality and differentiation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify and complete technical study of ingredients, suppliers, co-packers relevant to meeting project objectives and company standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assure technically sound sensory panels are conducted for product development, shelf-life studies, improving/maintaining present products and competitive testing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Produce and review daily production reports for schedule adherence, efficiencies, and other data.
 </li>
 <li>

 Identify and make recommendations for process improvements using scientific techniques, design experimentation to improve formulation, process, or equipment to deliver finished.

 Provide raw material information and formulas to regulatory personnel to create nutritional and products analysis, and nutritional fact panels.

 DUTIES:
 
 The Analytical Scientist will typically report to the Technical Director but may report to another member of Technology Management, as required. The Analytical Scientist is responsible for completing assigned research projects focused on the development of quantitative analytical chemistry techniques in support of Company&rsquo;s business objectives including experimental design and conduct, data analysis, generation of meaningful conclusions and recommendations, and timely report writing. Responsibilities will also include conception and design of research projects and objectives, as well as supporting Company&rsquo;s Management in the development of technology strategy. Supervision of one or more Support Staff can be expected. Direct support of Company Intellectual Property development can also be expected. The Analytical Scientist will have a strong personal commitment to safety and be able to succeed in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Conducts and completes assigned research projects:
 </li>
 <li>
 Defines research objectives, milestones, and timelines. Defines project resource requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Writes concise research project proposals for Technical Director review and approval.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures project research is conducted consistent with project objectives, milestones, and timelines. Effectively manages project resources.
 </li>
 <li>
 Effectively communicates progress toward project objectives, milestones, and timelines to Technical Director and Company Management, as required. Recommends, when appropriate, revisions in project objectives, milestones, and timelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyzes experimental data and generates scientifically valid conclusions and recommendations, as needed, for future research.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides timely written reports to Company Management describing progress toward project objectives, milestones, and timelines. Provides timely final project report upon project completion.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works with Technology and Company Management to identify and pursue Intellectual Property derived from research project results.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervises one or more members of Support Staff including direction of daily project activities, data review, coaching and counseling, and performance feedback.
 </li>
 <li>
 Remains current on relevant scientific literature and intellectual property landscape. Develops and maintains competitive intelligence in relevant areas.
 </li>
 <li>
 Directly supports Technology and Company Management in defining new research projects and potential new areas for development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains accurate lab and data records in accordance with Company policies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures a hygienic work environment, participating in lab cleanliness, organization, and other tasks. Supports and adheres to all company policies on safety, chemical hygiene, and the environment.
